About a decade ago, a little girl sat in front of a magical box that projects moving images.

A character
in the box said “Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind.” The little girl never
really understood that particular sentence until one day she looked to her side only to find a little boy. If
you have not figured it out yet, that little girl was me.

There is this boy I know who is very out-going, jovial and optimistic. He is my little brother despite that
fact that he is very much taller than me. Rosh Khalis, is his name and he is the runt of the family. He was
born on the 28th of June 2002.

I must say, this boy is the most probably one of the most annoying person I know. He has a knack for
calling me names, not taking me seriously and taking my things without my permission. We disagree on
a lot of thingstoo. However, he still manages to fing his wayback to being one of my favourite people on
the face of the earth.

“How is that?” you ask. Rosh has these magical powers that I do not think he knows of. He is able to
literally turn a frown upside down. Fifteen years, I grew up with this boy and I still cannot quite
comprehead how he does it. Everytime I feel like the universe is going against me, a hand lies softly on
my shoulder. As I look up to see who it was, there he is smiling at me and reassuring me that everything
will be okay.

One thing I learned from my brother is that family should be kept close to your heart and they are
worth way more than anything in the world. In a nutshell, Rosh Khalis bin Rosli is selfless, caring,
annoying, soft-hearted and witty. He is also my friend, enemy, protector, murder victim, partner in
crime, source of laughter and the only brother I will ever have. Though I will never admit it to his face, I
love my brother and I would never trade anything for him. What is yet to come, I shall never know, but I
will always know that I will have my brother by my side and that is all I need.
