From AMP, the home of the Alternative Movie Poster

2017
AMP -
2017 has been a very busy time here at AMP, with our community

the exciting competitions and briefs we set to our audience, but
as we no longer walk this path, we thought we’d share some of our
favourite pieces from the year and our 30x30 show.

We have highlighted a few of our favourite pieces and projects

from the last 12 months, with 2018 looking to be a very exciting
time here at AMP.

What better way to
start the year than
with our very own
AMP Calendar.

We were lucky
enough to work
with some amazing
artists to produce
a charity Calendar
for 2017, with all
proceeds going to
the NSPCC.

Plans are already

under way for a
very awesome 2019
edition, so watch

2017 saw a dream
come true for us,
with our very first
gallery show.

AMP has nearly

always lived
online, apart from
a few books we did
a few years ago, so
it was great to see
specially
commissioned work
hanging on walls
for all to see.

We had 30 artists
from all over the 30x30:1987

world create a
piece of work for
the show that cel-
ebrated 30 films
turning 30 in 2017,
so it was 1987 all
the way with some
epic titles and
work.

We also had some

help from our good
friends at Canon,
which meant we
could do some very
special prints ;)

Robocop is an
iconic film from
1987, so we had to
do something
special with this
piece from
Van Orton Design.

Our friends at
Canon printed it
onto Acrylic and
was then
backlit at the show
to create a truly
stunning print.

came to the show.

We have lots of
exciting plans for
2018, most we can’t
mention just yet.

But one thing we

can say is that
September 2018 will
be the next round
of our annual 30x30
shows, 1988!

We have other
exhibitions and
shows planned, but
this one will
certainly rock ;)

Stay tuned for full

artist and film
line-up.
We were also lucky
enough to have some
amazing fan art
pieces promoted
via our friends at
Firebox.com,
allowing folks
to grab some ace
prints inspired
by their favourite
films.

We loved the series

of pieces that UK
based artist Andrew
Jones produced.
Beautiful scenes
from films that
would look
appealing in any
travel magazine.

Watch this space

for a very exciting
project with Andrew
this year...

Our community
continues to go
from strength to
strength, and this
has been helped
massively this year
with our daily
Instagram posts.

With so many AMPs

popping up daily
on our feeds, we
made a huge effort
to make sure these
were seen by our
followers.

With over 1500

posts on our
Instagram account
alone, we gathered
over 800,000 likes!

From all those

posts, we had to
have a top 9, so
here they are.
