Below are some helpful hints and tips on putting a large format poster
together. Large format posters are size A2 and above, below are precise
measurements and the maximum word count you should use on each size.

Fonts
Posters should always have a large main heading and each section should have a sub heading.
If you are using a photograph or diagram in your poster you should ensure they are good quality and saved in the
correct format.They should be 300dpi jpegs or tiffs with the files colour settings saved to CMYK and not RGB.
Layout
For portrait posters text should be laid out in a minimum of 2 columns, for posters larger than A2 (A1 or A0) 3
columns may be more suitable.
When creating an A2 landscape poster you should use a minimum of 3 columns and 4 if using A1 or A0.
If your using a coloured or patterned background you should consider using a pale colour or a tint.
