December
Trimming trees in stocking feet
Eating all we want to eat.
Giving presents to our friends
This is how the whole year ends.

December
In December we're happy The bells ring
Whatever the weather At Christmas -
For Christmas helps people We all sing
Be happy together. At Christmas.

A carpet of snow
Covers the ground, Secrets everywhere
The sweet sound of carols You go!
Is heard all around. Children’s stockings
In a row.
Candles and stars
And Christmas tree lights
Twinkle and glow
In the velvet night. My little bell
Rings out to say,
“Have a merry
Christmas Day.”
December
It's hard to think of anything
But Christmas in December.
There's so much to look forward to Come and see
And so much to remember. The Christmas tree
It is pretty
As can be.

December
December brings us Christmas A couple of wishes
With secrets big and small. And both for you:
And sharing joys with others; Joy at Christmas
Oh, December’s best of all! A Happy New Year, too.

When Santa Claus Comes Eight Little Reindeer
A good time is coming 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 little reindeer
I wish it were here, Stand beside the gate,
The very best time “Hurry, Santa,” said the five,
In the whole of the year; “So we will not be late.”

I’m counting each day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 little reindeer

On my fingers and thumbs - Santa said, “Please wait!
The weeks that must pass Wait for three more little reindeer
Before Santa Claus comes. Then there will be eight.”

Then when the first snowflakes

Begin to come down,
And the wind whistles sharp If
And the branches are brown, If I were a pine
With needles lean,
I’ll not mind the cold, If I were a fir
Though my fingers it numbs, With branches green,
For it brings the time nearer Do you know what
When Santa Claus comes. I’d want to be?
A shimmering, shining
Christmas tree.

The Day Before Christmas

We’ve been helping with the cake
And licking out the pan,
And wrapping up our packages
As neatly as we can.
And we have hung our stockings up
I Heard a Bird Sing
Beside the open grate.
I heard a bird sing
And now there’s nothing more to do
In the dark of December
Except
A magical thing
to
And sweet to remember:
wait!
“We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,”
I heard a bird sing

If I Could Find Old Santa At Christmas time,
If I could find old Santa I can hear ______.
I'd ask him for a ride. I can hear ______.
Under the fur-trimmed blankets But I can’t hear ______!
I'd nestle by his side. I can smell ______.
But when he went a climbing I can smell ______.
Down, down the chimney tall But I can’t smell ______
I'd wait for him upon the roof (Taste…., touch ….., see…….)
For fear that I might fall.
I'd sit and hold the reindeer
And if they tried to go,
I'd call out to them loudly,
Whoa! Reindeer, whoa!

An article of clothing
This month I'll want to use,
But not where you'd imagine,
Down inside my shoes!
Oh, no! It's more important!
It won't be used in walking!
For Santa Claus will fill it,
It's my Christmas __________. Let's All Do a Little Clapping
Sing to: We Wish You A Merry Christmas
Let's all do a little clapping,
Let's all do a little clapping,

And tapping at the door. And spread Christmas cheer.

And landing on the floor. 2. Jumping
3. Twirling
He's stuffing all the stockings 4. Stretching
And looking at the tree. 5. Bending Ask the kids for other ideas.
He's got lots of presents,
Some for you and some for me.

I'm peeping around the doorway. Santa’s Workshop

And oh, what do I see? The elves in Santa's workshop
The jolly face of Santa, Are busy as can be.
Looking back at me. They all are working round the clock
On toys for you and me.

Santa The little pine tree tried so hard
Santa's sometimes called Kris Kringle. To grow both straight and tall.
His merry eyes – oh how they twinkle. The oaks and elms all laughed at him
His nose and cheeks are red as a rose, Because he was so small.
Matching all his bright red clothes. “Why do you try so hard?” they asked.
Wearing a white beard and boots of “What do you want to be?”
black, The little pine tree softly said,
He's a jolly elf carrying his sack. “I’ll be a Christmas tree!”
When he laughs, he “ho, ho, hos,”
From the tip of his hat to the end of his
nose. Christmas Lights
On Christmas Eve, just after dark,
We hurry to our little park
And join a happy crowd, to see
The lights come on the Christmas tree.
Christmas Wreaths
Our Christmas wreaths The tree is proud and very high.
Are fat and round It points a finger to the sky.
Made of woodsy things It waits all year for this one night
We found. When it is dressed in jewels of light.
We tied brown cones
Upon the green And now it’s time to light the tree.
And stuck red berries The crowd is quiet as can be,
In between. And then the lights begin to shine.
Upon the wreath Red ones, blue ones, gold ones twine.
For our front door
We tied red ribbon from a store. And at the top a Christmas star!
It can be seen from near to far.
The star that once on Christmas night
Bundles Guided the shepherds with it’s light.
A bundle is a funny thing,
It always sets me wondering:
For whether it is thick or wide
You never know just what's inside.
Especially in Christmas week
Temptation is too great to peek!
Now wouldn't it be much more fun
If shoppers carried things undone?

We Fish You a Hairy Kiss Moose
The Reindeer Pokey
We fish you a hairy kiss moose
(to the tune of The Hokey Pokey)
We fish you a hairy kiss moose
You put your antlers in.
We fish you a hairy kiss moose
You put your antlers out.
And a hoppy new ear!
You put you antlers in,
And you shake them all about.
You do the Reindeer Pokey,
And you turn yourself around.
Little Pine Tree
That's what it's all about!
In summertime my branches were
A place for birds to nest;
You put your hooves in....
In autumn my branches were
You put your red nose in....
Their place for food and rest.
You put your fluffy tail in...
And now that wintertime is here
You put your reindeer body in…
I hope - I hope to be
All glistening bright with snowflakes -
The birds' Christmas Tree.

With my hands I made this wreath

With my thumb each berry
I am sending you this special wish
For a Christmas that is Merry!

'Twas the days before Christmas, To your desks in the room!
And all through the school, To your spots in the line!
The teachers were trying Now walk to them! Walk to them!
To keep their cool. No running this time!

The hallways were hung So straight to their places

With Christmas art The children all went.
(Some made in November With fear of detention
to get a head start!) Where they could be sent.

The children were bouncing With manuals of lessons

Off ceilings and walls, Cradled in arms,
And seemed to forget The teachers began
How to walk in the halls. To use all their charms.

With ‘holiday shirts’ But the lessons presented

And ‘jingle bell jewels’, All fell on deaf ears.
The teachers looked festive The children were thinking
Enforcing the rules. Of Santa's reindeer!

When out of the teacher's lounge With a toss of their hands

There came such a chatter, They put manuals aside,
The principal went in Went straight to the cupboards
To see what was the matter. Where videos hide.

The teachers were hiding And laying their finger

And trying to refuel, On the TV remote
On coffee and cookies They sat back to write
And treats from the Yule. Their last Christmas note.
When what to their wondering
Ears do they hear, But you could hear them exclaim
But the ringing of school bells At the end of the day -
- It's the children they fear! Have a wonderful, happy and
LO -O-O-O-O-NG HOLIDAY!!!
More rapid than reindeer
The little ones came,
And the teachers all shouted
And called them by name;

Walk, Vincent! Walk, Tanner!

Walk, Tyler and Sammy!
Sit, Jamie! Sit, Laura!
Sit, Tara and Tammy!
