Burma: (now Myanmar) is a sovereign state in Southeast Asia.

owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their

Guerrilla: a member of a small independent group taking part in irregular fighting,

Lao: officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic , commonly referred to by its
colloquial name of Muang Lao, is a landlocked country in the heart of the Indochinese
peninsula of Mainland Southeast Asia, bordered by Myanmar (Burma) and China to
the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the southwest and Thailand to the
west and southwest.
Park Chung-hee: (14 November 1917 – 26 October 1979) was a South Korean
politician and general who served as the President of South Korea from 1963 until his
assassination in 1979
Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO): regional-defense organization from
1955 to 1977, created by the Southeast Asia Collective Defence Treaty, signed at
Manila on Sept. 8, 1954, by the representatives of Australia, France, New Zealand,
Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The
treaty came into force on Feb. 19, 1955. Pakistan withdrew in 1968, and France
suspended financial support in 1975. The organization held its final exercise on Feb.
20, 1976, and formally ended on June 30, 1977
