bus that is essential in the operation, service flow, service schedule activities, materials
and equipment to use, project site and layout design which can help the proponents to
analyze the viability of this study. Some other necessary factors will also be given in
consideration to install, operate and maintain the proposed project, and that by
establishing such, the proposed project will be realized successfully at budgeted cost by
future implementers.
SERVICE DESCRIPTION
A mobile school bus acts as an extended classroom that will provide quality
service in Brgy. Basak San Nicolas, particularly in Alumnos area. This will help to
educate the underprivileged youth of the said place. They will be given the opportunity
to learn basic education. The teachings include the following subjects with respect to

Service Capacity
The targeted underprivileged youth are those whose ages are 6-18, but those youth
who are currently enrolled in private and public schools are allowed to join provided that
they are at their elementary level. The number of students to be included will be 20 per
session every Saturday afternoon. It is noted that there will be 20 students per scheme,
so each scheme will attend teaching session twice a month. Refer to the tables below:

SERVICE FLOW
The proponents proposed Mobile School laid down the following steps to avail the
service:

SERVICE LOCATION
The proposed site is in Alumnos, Brgy. Basak San Nicholas, Cebu City. The said
site is located at ASUPHOA, an urban poor in Alumnos where the less fortunate families
are situated. There are lots of children who weren’t able to go to school. The proposed

Fuel
The mobile school bus will consume diesel to operate the engine. From
University of San Jose – Recoletos Basak Campus to ASUPHOA Alumnos, Brgy. Basak
San Nicholas, Cebu City, it is estimated distance is 1.9 Kilometers and the travel time is
estimated to take 10 to 15 minutes. The estimated cost for the diesel is 4 liters during
session and a total of 16 liters for a month. The two liters of diesel will be shouldered by
the INFECOP and the other two by the implementor. Based on the Tax Reform for
Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN), which is newly signed by the President , the price
per liter of the diesel will increase by P2.50 in 2018, P4.50 in 2019 and P6 in 2020. The
price per liter is 49.50 that was based on September 25, 2017 to January 1, 2018 diesel

One way for us to motivate our young learners to be energetic during the
session, the proponents decided to provide them with simple meal. The money to be
used will be from donations and the proponents intended to have a budget plan for it as

Honorarium
There are 8 volunteers that will conduct the teaching session. These volunteers will be

CONTRIBUTORS
INFECOP
Offices of the University that will provide services to any community who needs help.
The proponents asked permission to conduct the mobile school in the area held by
ASUPHOA located at Sitio Alumnos, Brgy. San Nicholas, Cebu City and they accepted
the proponents’ proposal. The proponents will use the bus from the INFECOP as the
mobile school.
Volunteers
Jose – Recoletos envision to help the community through outreach programs. The
student members of the said organization will be the volunteers to conduct the teaching
The proponents coordinated with the barangay officials from the barangay of
Basak, San Nicolas to conduct the feasibility study. In connection with this, they allowed
the proponents to have “barangay tanods” headed by Mr. Jeffrey Calumpang to assist
the volunteers and the children during the teaching session to have a tight security

Through the proponents’ coordination with the barangay officials from Basak,
San Nicolas, they referred us to coordinate also with ASUPHOA for the proponents to
gather accurate data especially for the number of underprivileged children in the area.

In going to the place where the teaching session is held, two trash bags are hung
outside the bus. Each bag is labeled with biodegradable and non-biodegradable so that
people in the area will not get confused as to where should the proper place to throw the
trash. After the session, all the wastes will be brought in school and by the time the bus
discharging, the garbages will be stored in the campus depositories to be picked by the
