DISCO LIGHT
CHOIR (unison):
Let’s have a very merry Christmas celebrating Jesus, everybody sing along!
I once was lost but now I’m found adopted by the King.
Our Father sent His Son into the world on Christmas morn.
What a high position we have all been given, we are heaven’s royalty.
We’ll be given crowns one day lay them down, worshipping the King of kings!
I once was lost but now I’m found adopted by the King.
Our Father sent His Son into the world on Christmas morn.
Now every girl and boy, let’s shout and make some noise!
Our Father sent His Son into the world on Christmas morn.
Now every girl and boy, let’s shout and make some noise!
STORYTELLER STELLA: Come with me now and let’s take a peek at an old story that
you thought you already knew. But I’m sure there are some things that you’ll be
surprised to hear. It may change some things for you – like Who you are celebrating this
Christmas and Who rules and reigns in your life. (Music begins) CD 8
STORYTELLER STEVEN: It’s Bethlehem 2,000 years ago and a Child has been born.
His name is Jesus. Most people were thrilled to hear the news, but some weren’t so
thrilled. One of them was a king. His name was Herod.
Bring Them to Me
HEROD:
CHOIR:
HEROD:
Ha ha! How dare they would stand in my presence; Someone go find them for me!
CHOIR:
HEROD:
I’ll find those three wise men, they’ll be trembling with fear

HEROD:
Sherlock: (to the audience) But not mad at me. Herod called ME to get to the
bottom of this mystery and find out some information on this Baby
and see why those wise men didn’t come back like he ordered
them to do. See, I’m Sherlock, and this is my assistant Wendy
Watson. I am the chief investigator for (look both ways carefully
before he says the words) the FBI.
Kids: Ssshhhhhhhhhhhh……….
Sherlock: Never lost a case and I don’t plan to lose this one. So, being the
investigator I was trained to be, I did two obvious things: (music
begins CD17) I went and got a donut (delivered by Donut Man) and
headed straight over to the Bethlehem Public Library….did a little
snooping around.
SONG 3: Take a Look Inside
CHOIR:
SHERLOCK:
ADD CHOIR:
CHOIR:
SHERLOCK:
That’s a King to me. S&W: (Wait a minute!) 2nd Time: S&W: (That’s a King to me!)
Narration begins: STORYTELLER STEVEN: This is the first time Sherlock thought he
might be in just a little bit of trouble.
WATSON: First rule of investigation: Find a source “in the know.” And we found one, but
this one seems to be the Holy Scripture!
SHERLOCK: So I ran a little background on this Baby and found out that He might be
the King of the Jews! I may be in over my head!
SHERLOCK, WATSON, LIBRARIAN and STORYTELLERS – STEVEN AND STELLA
(sing red words):
Sherlock/Watson: (Trying to make their voices sound lower) Excuse me, miss.
Librarian: A huge case of what? The measles? The flu? As loud as you’re
speaking I wish it was laryngitis!
Sherlock: I mean we’re on a case! (Sherlock and Watson look both ways)
Librarian: Who?
Librarian: Oh… right, right, right. So, what can I do for his Royal Craziness?
Watson: Yes, but this was a Child that was supposed to be the King of the
Jews.
Sherlock: (reading from the article) And there were shepherds living out in the
fields nearby keeping watch over their flocks at night.
Watson: Hey, how DID the shepherds find out about this Child?
SHEPHERD 1 Eli: We were minding our own business, tending the sheep,
SHEPHERD 2 Eli and Christian: We were shocked and we were shaken from head to
toe,
SHEPHERD 3 Christian: Then the angel had good news for us to hear,
ANGEL CHORUS:
CHOIR:
The heaven’s thundered with such joy, As the angels worshiped and rejoiced; Glory in
the highest filled the sky,
LIGHT IN STABLE
Librarian: (To Sherlock and Watson) I wonder why the angels appeared to
sheperds and not to me?
Shepherds: Cause they didn’t want to get shushed!! (sheep baa – laughingly)
(Shepherds exit)
Watson: New Google search: An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and
the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them,
Librarian: Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Angel 1 Katelyn: Ah, What part of “fear not “do you not understand?
(music begins) CD 32
Angel 1 Katelyn: We finally got our orders to break through the skies
Angel 2 Myra: With good news that would change the world!
SONG 5: When the Little Baby Boy Was Born
CHOIR: When the little baby Boy was born, cherubim took wing;
CHOIR: When the little baby Boy was born, many shepherds came;
ANGELS Myra and Katelyn: When the little baby Boy was born did they know right then,
He’d wear a crown of thorns and forgive them all their sins;
ANGEL 2 Katelyn: When the little baby Boy was born was it clear to see,
That Jesus Christ our Lord was the mighty King of kings.
CHOIR: When the little baby Boy was born. The little baby Boy was born in Bethlehem,
Born to live and die and then to rise again;
Storyteller Stella: Now you do realize that I’m no FBI agent, but it’s quite clear that
Sherlock and Watson are starting to perspire a bit.
Sherlock: I KNOW!
Watson: I KNOW!
Storyteller Steven: (in best bass voice) Oooo…….someone’s getting (stops bass
voice, realizing it’s silly, clears throat) I mean someone’s getting a
little testy don’t you think? Let’s listen as Sherlock and Watson go
over their evidence….
Sherlock: My background check proves that the Baby has the royal bloodline
of the King of the Jews.
Kids: Check!
Watson: And the shepherds were actual eyewitnesses of the child’s birth in
Bethlehem.
Kids: Check!
Librarian: And the angels confirmed that the little Baby boy was sent from
heaven’s throne and was indeed…
Sherlock: I AM in trouble.
Storyteller Stella: Poor Sherlock and Watson. You can just tell that their nerves are
getting frazzled.
Storyteller Steven: They know that the “good news” of this baby’s birth was going to be
“Bad news” for Herod to hear. They think…
Sherlock/Watson: KNOW!
Sherlock: The words! Of course. Glad I thought of it! Here Watson, you
read….
Watson: “We three kings of Orient are, bearing gifts, we travel so far.”
Sherlock: Really? Sure doesn’t sound like gifts for a baby. You’d think they’d
at least bring a pacifier.
Wise Man 1 Christian: Well, for THIS Baby, there are the perfect gifts.
Wise Man 2MattL: For a Baby who was born the King of kings!
Sherlock: Well why didn’t you three return and tell Herod where he was?
Wise Man 3 Eli: Really…… Are you asking for real?
Sherlock: Yes, for real! If you three guys had returned like you said you
would, we wouldn’t be in this awful position.
Wise Man 2 MattL: He wasn’t the worshiping type, if you know what I mean!
Storyteller Steven: Ladies and gentlemen, I think we can all agree that these were
three very wise men. And even today, we would all be wise to
follow their example.
CD 37 SONG 6: A Wise Man’s Life for Me!
CHOIR: I will be, just you wait and see- a wise man’s life for me.
Found the King, He’s my everything – A wise man’s life for me.
I’m a follower, I’m a worshiper, I said a wise man’s life for me.
Choir:
And even still today Your light will guide the way,
I’m a follower, I’m a worshiper, I said a wise man’s life for me.
Librarian SOLO: The wisest thing that you or I could ever do is to worship God in Spirit
and truth.
CHOIR: I said the wisest thing that you or I could ever do is to worship God in Spirit
and truth.
Librarian Solo:
Choir:
Librarian: Shh! Now calm down. Just breathe! I know you’re under a lot of
pressure. Sherlock, Watson, I think I know someone you should
talk to.
Librarian: No silly, it’s my cousin Vinny. You see, he and his wife run a little in
on the opposite side of town and well… it’s the inn where the Baby
was born. Well, not actually in the inn, but in their stable.
Sherlock: What?
Librarian: Well… it’s because all Vinny ever says is, “Well, if I knew then what
I know now.” And I never understood what he meant until… well,
until.. now. After seeing all the evidence it makes sense.
Watson: How do we get in touch with this Vinny. Time’s running out.
Sherlock: His royal meanness is probably blowing his stack right now and I’m
going to be toast!
Storyteller Steven: So, you’ll notice then that Sherlock and the Librarian have become
(music begins) partners in crime solving.
Storyteller Stella: Their next search will be for Cousin Vinny, the innkeeper, and his
wife. Their story will touch Sherlock and Watson in a personal way.

born in Sherlock tonight?” (Music begins.) CD53
SOLO 3 Morgan: Now that you’ve searched and heard what is true.
STORYTELLER STEVEN: They studied the prophecies in the Holy Scriptures. They
reviewed the first-hand stories of the shepherds and the innkeeper. The angels’

STORYTELLER STELLA: And now it was time for them to make a choice.
CHOIR: So look beyond the world that you see, You have a higher calling to a higher
King!
SHERLOCK and WATSON: From the mystery of history I found out He was
really born in Bethlehem.
(Underscore)
STORYTELLER STEVEN: Do you have a higher calling to a higher King? This could be
