Students are US citizens and finally have the opportunity to experience the American

Dream. Students will create a story of themselves as future Americans. Students will describe

their future family in America honing in on where they live, occupations, children, education,

socioeconomic class and family history. They will begin by filling out a worksheet and

brainstorming ideas about their future in America. After students have finished brainstorming,

they will have the opportunity to express their future-selves through a poem, rap, personal

narrative or a video.
