Bontuyan which was done at MSGB Building, Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City, Philippines. 1 Q: Please state your complete name, age and profession. A: I am Cristine D. Bilocura, 50 years old. I am a medical doctor and a medico-legal officer.

leading to your profession as of this date. A: I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the Cebu Normal university in the year 1990. Thereafter, I went to medical school in the Cebu Institute of Medicine and graduated on 1994. I had my post-grad internship at Cebu Velez General Hospital and after completion, took and passed the physician licensure exam in 1996. I further continued my studies and obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice with specialization in Forensic Medicine from the University of the Cordilleras in 2000. 3 Q: How long have you been practicing your profession as a medical doctor? A: I have been working as a medical doctor for more or less twenty (20) years now since I passed the physician licensure examination. 4 Q: At present, where are you working as a medico- legal officer? A: I am a medico-legal officer with a rank of Police Chief Inspector at the Regional Crime Laboratory Office – Region 7, Philippine National Police, Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City. 5 Q: When did you start working as a medico-legal officer in the Regional Crime Laboratory – Region 7, Philippine National Police? A: I started working as a medico-legal officer in the Regional Crime Laboratory – Region 7, Philippine National Police from 2000 up to the present. 6 Q: What do you do as a medico-legal officer in the Crime Laboratory? A: I conduct external and internal physical examinations of individuals and I also conduct autopsies on cadavers presented in the crime laboratory. 7 Q: In your capacity as a medico-legal officer of the Regional Crime Laboratory Office, Region 7, Philippine National Police, can you recall how many cadavers have you examined so far? A: If my memory serves me best, around two thousand (2,000) bodies excluding autopsies done during Typhoon Yolanda. 8 Q: Is this your first time to testify in court? A: No. This is not my first time. 9 Q: To the best of your knowledge, how many times have you testified as an expert witness? A: I have made one hundred one (101) testimonies in court as an expert witness. 10 Q: Having stated information regarding your years of experience as a medical doctor and medico-legal officer, can you say with absolute certainty that you are qualified to testify as an expert witness to attest to the cause of death of Lino Mulinyawe? A: Yes. I can. 11 Q: Where were you on December 9, 2017 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning? A: I was at Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes at Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City. 12 Q: Why were you there? A: I was there to conduct an autopsy as requested by the Chief of Police of Cebu City. 13 Q: On whose remains were you conducting an autopsy? A: I conducted the autopsy on the remains of Lino M. Mulinyawe. 14 Q: How were you able to identify that the remains belong to one Lino M. Mulinyawe? A: Aside from his dental records, the remains were personally and visually identified by the wife of the deceased, Lina M. Mulinyawe. 15 Q: What was nature of the nature of the examination conducted? A: It was a post-mortem examination of Mr. Mulinyawe’s cadaver to determine the cause of his death. 16 Q: What were your findings? A: My findings are as follows: (1) the body is that of a fairly developed, fairly nourished Filipino male measuring 138 cm from the crown to the sole with an estimated body weight of 130- 150 lbs.; (2)abrasions and contusions is spread in the frontal parts of the body; and (3) a single stab wound, left mammary region, measuring 3.6 by 1.4 cm, 5.5 cm from the anterior line, 12 cm deep, directed leftward and upward the body, thru the 4th left intercostal space, piercing the pericardial sac left ventricle. 17 Q: Based on your findings, what was the cause of the death of Mr. Mulinyawe? A: The cause of death is the stab wound in the chest and such manner of death can be categorized a violent death due to a frontal fall while holding a sharp object with the right hand. 18 Q: Are all your findings reduced in writing? A: Yes. They are embodied in an autopsy report. 19 Q: Where is the autopsy report? A: It is with me. 20 Q: Above the name of Cristine D. Bilocura in this autopsy report is a signature, whose signature is this? A: It is my signature. 21 Q: Am I permitted in marking this “autopsy report” as Exhibit A and the signature above the name of Cristine D.
