These two skills are the most important ones in terms of


direct communication. If you are able to understand what
you listen and to speak fluently, you're done. You WIN.
Getting these two skills is a hard and long process. You
must dominate a vast number of words, and also the
structures that will make you able to combine those
words for creating your own sentences.

VOCABULARY and GRAMMAR

Secondary skills that are developed only when YOU have


enough vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
Assuming you have enough vocabulary and grammar
knowledge, then your reading and writing will improve
almost alone. YOU just need to read and write!

This skill can be easily improved by applying some secrets
and techniques that I will share with YOU today.

English Pronunciation tends to be hard for Hispanic students.


Why? Because in Spanish, every letter (consonant or vowel)
has just ONE sound.

Now, I will share with you 3 great techniques and secrets


that will improve instantly your English pronunciation, and I
will warn you about 5 common mistakes of Hispanic
students, that YOU don't have to commit.
Secret #1: “R” Sound
This is the most characteristic sound of English.

Hispanic students tend to pronounce this sound just as it


sound in Spanish. BIG MISTAKE!

TIP: turn back your tongue, creating an “L” shape. Don't


touch your palate with the top of your toungue, and then,
exhale air normally.

Secret #2: “T and D” Sound
Second most characteristic sound of English.

Hispanic students tend to pronounce these two sound just as


it sound in Spanish. BIG MISTAKE!

TIP for T sound: almost close your jaws leaving a little


space open. Then, put the top of your tongue between the
open space, and make and explosive “T” by means of a
strong exhalation.

TIP for D sound: same as previous, but with jaws closed.


Sound goes out more vibrating than explosive.

Third most characteristic sound of English.

sound in Spanish. BIG MISTAKE!

TIP: open your mouth and exhale air, letting your throat do
the whole job.
