“Chapter Summaries”

1. Brief introduction to the resurrection of Christ and then the disciples prepare for

pentecost and the promise of the Holy Spirit.

2. Disciples gathered on day of pentecost as the Holy Spirit comes upon them as Christ

had promised.

3. Simon Keepa and John heal crippled man at the temple gate and then preach in the

temple.

4. High priests’ imprisoned Simon and John, and they preach the good news to them, and

then are released and ordered to not minister in the name of Christ.

5. Ananias and his wife lie to the Holy Spirit and die immediately , and then Apostles are

then imprisoned again, but later released.

6. Duties were delegated to other believers to maximize efficiency, and Stephen is

persecuted by non believers.

7. Stephen gives his testimony to non believers and is killed by them.

8. Saul persecutes the church, as Philip is sent to convert a man from ethiopia, and then

Phillip is transported by Holy Spirit to Caesarea.

9. Saul, still persecuting the church is blinded by Christ, and instructed to go to Ananias in

Damascus to be healed, and then Saul believes and starts testifying on behalf of Holy

Spirit.

10. Cornelius a Roman Centurion is converted after Simon has a vision of Christ giving him

cleansed food, which is interpreted by allowing all nations to freely receive Holy Spirit.

11. Simon recounts his vision in Jerusalem and Barnabas is sent to Troas to find Saul and

take him to Judea to help aid there.


12. Herod Agrippa kills James and Simon is arrested, but later released by an angel of the

Lord.

13. Barnabas and Saul start their Mission trip and convert many on their way.

14. Paul heals a crippled man and they rebuke people for Idolizing them.

15. The issue of following the law and being circumcised in order to be saved is discussed in

Jerusalem, while Barnabas and Saul separate.

16. Paul takes Timothy on his trip and becomes imprisoned, then an earthquake happens

and instead of leaving the prison, paul, as a Roman citizen, stays, converts the prison

guard, and then is begged to leave.

17. They go to Thessalonica and convert many, and then go to Athens where many believe

there as well.

18. Paul goes to Corinth and meets Aquilla and Priscilla, and then converts Apollo, a very

knowledgeable Jew who knew nothing of Christ, except for perhaps Baptism from John.

19. Paul travels north and baptizes in the name of Christ, and then Prays for them to receive

the Holy Spirit, of which they knew nothing about.

20. Paul raises a man from the dead.

21. Paul is warned not to go on a trip to Jerusalem and then is later beaten and arrested.

22. Paul gives another testimony and many believe.

23. Christ appears to Paul during the night.

24. Felix is touched and believes due to Paul’s testimony.

25. Paul is taken to King Agrippa and then he gives his Testimony to him as well.

26. King Agrippa finds Paul innocent of any crimes and is then released.

27. Paul warns fellow sailors of a dangerous trip but is ignored, and then is later visited by

an angel.

28. Paul survives being bitten by a viper, and then heals people, and then later many believe

in Paul’s testimony again.
