The researchers will be discussing the assigned topic to the 3rd yr. Political

Science Students of Cebu Normal University in Modern Political Theory class.

The topic that was assigned to the researchers by the class mayor was the

Libertarianism covering the works of Hayek, the Road to Serfdom, the Constitution

of Liberty, Law, Legislation and Liberty, the Fatal Conceit and Friedman: Capitalism

and Freedom. The said topic is the third to the last topic to be discussed in the class.

This topic will be discussed by the researchers and professor on Tuesday

January __, 2018, 9:00 to 10:30 AM. The researchers shall report at least two to

three topics in one meeting. However, if the researchers will not be able to tackle the

whole coverage of the topic, the researchers shall continue discussing their topic on

January __, Thursday, on the same time.


The professor will first give an introduction and an overview of the topic. The

researcher shall give hand-outs to the whole class which serve as their reading

material. The hand-outs contain important ideas, key concepts and a summary of

the topic. The class will silently read the hand-outs for 20 t0 30 minutes to gain

knowledge about the topic and to generate questions as well. After the class finishes

reading the hand-outs, the researcher will directly stands in front of the class to

entertain questions, the researcher and professor can answer the question.

The discussion will benefit the following: First, the students, this will

give them additional knowledge that will open their minds of the different ideas that

will be tackled. Secondly, to the professors and teachers, this will help them review

and refresh their minds of what they have learned while they were still taking up

this topic during their study.

Upon discussing this topic to the class, the researcher’s goal is to enlighten

the minds of the students and to introduce them of the famous principles that hold

the foundation of Modern thinkers so that they may be able to relate and apply these

principles to reality. This could help students change their perspective in life and

share it to the people around them for the betterment of the society.
