MNLU HOSTEL WASHING MACHINE POLICY

1. Title, Extent, Commencement of Policy

1.1 This policy shall be called “MNLU HOSTEL WASHING MACHINE POLICY”
1.2 This policy shall be applicable to all bonafide Students, Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty
residing in any hostel of Maharashtra National Law, University.
1.3 This Policy shall come into force on 05/10/2016 i.e. 5th October, 2016.
2. Student Caretakers
2.1 The Hostel Committee shall constitute a team to be called as the “Student Caretakers” to
exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be conferred on or assigned to it
under this Policy.
2.2 The “Student Caretakers” is one of the components of the Hostel Committee, MNLU.
3. Eligibility Criteria For Student Caretaker
3.1 Any and every bonafide student residing in the MNLU hostel on record shall be eligible to be
a member of “Student Caretakers”.
4. Function of Student Caretakers
4.1 Student Caretakers shall decide the rules for the operation of washing machines in the
hostel.
4.2 The timings for operation of washing machines will also be decided by the Student
Caretakers.
4.3 Student Caretakers will also deal with the finances required and collected for the purpose of
functioning of the washing machines.
4.4 In case of breakdown of the machine or requirement of any assistance, a report will first be
prepared by the Student Caretakers listing the problems and then be forwarded to the
Hostel Superintend so that the needful can be done at the earliest.
4.5 The Student Caretakers must ensure utmost transparency, fairness and non-arbitrariness in
the execution of all its function.
4.6 The Student Caretakers must carry out all the above mentioned and such other functions
required in their fullest capacity to ensure smooth functioning of washing machines in the
Hostel Premise.
5. Termination of members of “ Student Caretakers”
5.1 In case the member is found guilty of misconduct, he/she may be terminated from the
committee membership
6. Term of members
6.1 The term of Student Members shall be one academic year and they are eligible for re-
selection in the committee.
