SURVEY ABOUT NATURAL CALAMITIES

IN

LIDONG, STO. DOMINGO, ALBAY

 Lidong, Sto. Domingo Albay is one of the most dangerous barangay in Sto. Domingo Albay.
Lidong is prone of many natural calamities such as Landslides, floods, earthquakes, lava-flow
and Lidong is in 7.6 KM near the Volcano Crater.
 In Lidong also, there is many factories located that causes pollution to its neighbor barangay,
such as Primex coconut Isle, Globe Durabuilt, and also dumpsite.

THE ZONES THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODS ARE:

1. ZONE 1
2. ZONE 3
3. ZONE 4
4. ZONE 6

THE ZONE THAT ARE PRONE TO LANDSLIDES IS THE ZONE 6, BECAUSE OF IT IS NEAR IN BASUD (Basud is
consider as RIVER) and according to the Ass. Barangay Captain Dan Anonuevo (He is the one we
interviewed because the barangay captain already passed away) the zone 6 is located in upper part so,
landslide might occur.

THE ZONE THAT ARE PRONE TO LAVA FLOW IS THE BASUD BRIDGE because the river is connected to the
volcano.

ESTIMATED POPULATION OF FAMILIES THAT ARE AFFECTED OVERALL THE CALMITIES AND
POLLUTION:

150 HOUSEHOLDS

RECOMMENDATION:

Our recommendation to help the barangay is to conduct a symposium about the proper throwing of
their garbages so that they can decrease the floods, plant more trees, and also examine the factories
so that they can prevent pollution that are affecting households.
