1. What is the Middle Path? Why is it the proper path to Enlightenment?

The Middle Path is the path that people are supposed to follow. It is between the two
extremes of "a life given to pleasures" and "a life given to mortifications", which people
are supposed to try to avoid. This is the proper path to Enlightenment because it leads
"to insight, which leads to wisdom, which conduces to calm, to knowledge, to the
Sambodhi, to Nirvana." The Sambodhi is Total Enlightenment.
