The Word of the Day is lawa ["la.wa] (in QUZ ) (See example 1).
(1) =lawa
=pudding,dense soup
’dense soup prepared with corn flour, chuño [freeze-dried potato],
moraya, etc. including meat, potatoes and others’
In English it means dense soup prepared with corn flour,
chuño [freeze-dried potato], moraya, etc. including meat,
potatoes and others, it is spelled:
l-a-w-a.

Now let’s repeat it 3 times: lawa, lawa, lawa.

Now listen to it in context (See example 2):

=chura -y =hamp’ara =pata -man

ch’uñu lawa p’ukuta, kunallan
=ch’uñu =lawa =p’uku -ta =kuna+n -lla

’Put the bowl of chuño lagua on the table, I will eat it in a
moment.’
This sentence translated into English means ’Put the bowl of chuño
lagua on the table, I will eat it in a moment’.

Now let’s listen the sentence twice:


First time:
Churay hamp’ara pataman ch’uñu lawa p’ukuta, kunallan mikhusaq.
Second time:
Churay hamp’ara pataman ch’uñu lawa p’ukuta, kunallan mikhusaq.
