CREDIT AND GRADING SYSTEM
1. Module and Credit
One credit is defined by 15 hours of theory; 30-45 hours of practical, experiment
or discussion; 45-90 hours of internship; 45-60 hours of essay, assignment or
graduation thesis.
For theory, practical or experiment modules, students have to spend at least 30
hours self-preparation to acquire one eredit.

each module to suit the features of each university
‘A contacting-bour lasts 50 minutes.
For the programs that amount of each module is counted of course units, 1.5
course units are converted into | credit,
IL Assessment
Student’s result is evaluated after each term by the following criteria:
1. The number of approved credits by which are registered at the beginning of
cach term (referred as “the registered-credits”). During semester, if students
are absent from any registered-modules, those registered-modules will be
considered Fail.
2. Result of each module is converted into letter scheme according to regulate
at Module Assessment.
3. The GPA of a semester is the weighted average of each registered-module
in that semester with weighted credit number respectively with each module.
4. ‘The amount of accumulative knowledge is counted by total of eredits which
were evaluated into letter scheme A, B, C, D from the beginning of the
semester.5.
The accumulative GPA is the average of all accumulative modules of
student and is evaluated by A, B, C, D which is counted from the beginning
of the term until the evaluating time at the end of the term.

. Module result is the sum of each partial mark, weighted respectively.

Assessment is based on 10-scale (from 0 to 10) and rounded to 1 decimal.

a. Pass:
A(85~-10) High Distinetion
B(70-8.4) Distinction
CGS-69) Credit
D (4.05.4) Pass
F (below 4.0) Fail
c. For those modules which haven't been issued with assessment to release
final result, results will be shown as:
1 Not enough assessment
X Exam result not received
d. For those modules which are transferred from other programs, results
will be marked with “R” in the transcript.
IV. GPA

To calculate terminal GPA and accumulative GPA, result in letter will be
converted into scale of 4 as details:
A is equivalent to 4
B is equivalent to 3
Cis equivalent to 2
Dis equivalent to 1
Fis equivalent to 02.

V. DEGREE CLASSIFICATION
Degree is awarded by the major (one or double degree). Class of degree is defined
by the GPA of the course as following:
