Condolences

“My most sincere condolences”, they say. Such bullsh*t. They wanted him dead.
They didn’t care. They never did. They didn’t care at the first attempt. They didn’t
care, they never did. False “I hope you get wells” and “you’re worth more”. Worth
what? Evidently not worth the time of day. You didn’t care until he was sprawled
across a hospital bed, as astringents filled the air, and he was taking his last breath.
And then it was too late, you didn’t care until you realized you were losing
something. And now he’s gone and you’re telling me that you’re sorry. Such
bullsh*t. I’m not sorry. Your sorrys aren’t worth my time, if he was never even
worth yours.
