LO2 - Budget and Performing Rights & Copyright Considerations

Our show is based off of the radio channel of Heart FM. For the research on the
budget, I looked on Rajar to get an overview understanding of the budgets and
how it varies across the regions and among different populations and listeners. I
looked specifically at some of Heart FM’s shows for better examples.

Something also to consider is renting/hiring a recording studio. High-level

recording studios can charge around £70 per hour and more. Mid-level studios
however, may range from £30 to £50 per hour.
The budget also relies on the licensing for the radio show and the music that it
plays on the show. The graph below shows some examples of what would affect
the budget through the radio show and an averaged price of how much it would
cost.
