Instructions for Object Box Activity

1. Do not start working until Mrs. Landry tells you to start.


2. Get into your groups (presentation groups)
3. When you get the object box, DO NOT open it until you are instructed to do
so.
Object Box (Group Activity)
1. Open the box and look at the objects with your group members.
2. Discuss the similarities between the objects.
3. Separate the objects into two group according to their similarities.
4. Discuss how the items in each group are related.
5. Decide what is the function of each group of objects.
Packet (Individual Work)
1. Write two lists of related objects in the two-column graphic organizer.
2. Label each item on the list in English and Spanish.
3. Write a definition of the function of each group of objects.
4. Look at the picture on the Power Point and decide which group of objects is
related to the picture (This will be our focus group).
5. On the Drawing Sheet, draw the focus group objects as you would see them
in relation to the picture on the Power Point.
6. Turn in the packet before leaving the classroom.

Objectives
1. Work together with group members to separate objects into two
related groups.
2. Write a Spanish/English list of vocabulary words.
3. Write a definition of the focus group of objects.
4. Draw a picture of the focus group as it relates to the PPT picture.
5. Learn new Spanish vocabulary words.
