Justice (retd) Javed chaired a meeting to review the progress of his three months in
office in which he approved the filing of 43 references with the accountability courts
and examination of 23 cases and 17 inquiries. He also took notice of non-provision of
record of four companies out of the total 56.
The meeting reviewed progress on inquiries against 435 Pakistanis who were named
in the PanamaLeaks for establishing companies in the British Virgin Island and
Panama.
The chairman expressed displeasure over the slow response of SBP, FBR, SECP and
Nadra towards providing the record of 435 Pakistanis and directed them to provide the
requisite information in stimulated time.
Addressing the meeting, Justice Javed said cases would not be prolonged now, as
majority of countrymen had pinned high hopes on the NAB. He said from now
onwards the slogan of “Accountability for All” would be strictly adhered to and
transparent accountability would be visible to all and sundry. “The NAB does not
