STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA ) COUNTY OF HORRY ) CITY OF MYRTLE BEACH ) AFFIDAVIT VS ) 2018A262060191 Chandler Ari Dunmeyer ) THE AFFIANT STATES THAT THERE IS PROBABLE CAUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THE DEFENDANT NAMED ABOVE DID COMMIT THE CRIME(S) SET FORTH AND THAT SUCH PROBABLE CAUSE IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING FACTS: On Monday, January 22, 2018 at around 0116 hours, Myrtle Beach Police received a service call to respond to the Beachcomber Inn & Suites, rom 203, 1405 South Ocean Boulevard, within the city of Myrtle Beach, SC to the report of a deceased person. Upon arrival and initial investigation, it was determined that a female had been shot, and as a result, the female died from the apparent gunshot injury. The Myrtle Beach Police Department began conducting an investigation into the incident. Through an extensive investigation process that included processing the crime scene, multiple interviews, and many hours of viewing and reviewing recorded video ‘evidence, law enforcement were able to determine from the investigation what happened. On Sunday, January 21, 2018 shortly before midnight, the victim, Colee Alora Muithead, was in text conversation with a subject and the content of the conversation involved the two of them meeting at the Beachcomber, room 203. Information Teamed was that there was discussion about a specified amount of money, and through further investigation, the defendant withdrew monies from an ATM matching the amount of money discussed. Financial records were checked, Video surveillance was checked. Through information obtained during the investigation, it was earned that the subject mecting with the victim was operating a motoreycle, and the motorcycle was identified as being a Suzuki 650 model, and the defendant, Chandler Ari Dunmeyer, was found to have recently purchased amotoreycle and this motorcycle matched the description of the motorcycle captured on video surveillance. ‘The description of the subject captured on video surveillance also matches the description of the defendant. Video surveillance obtained during this investigation shows the defendant, operating the aforementioned motorcycle, coming into the city, going to the Beachcomber Inn & Suites, room 203, entering the room, and leaving room 203 after a short time later, and then leaving the city via the same motorcycle. Video surveillance showed that no entry was made into the room after the defendant exited the room until the body was discovered. The phone text conversation between the victim and the defendant is consistent with the video surveillance that captured the defendant as he moved through the city towards the incident location, finally arriving at the incident location, and then leaving the incident location after the vietim was shot. The discussion of a specific amount of money, that same amount of money was withdrawn from the ATM, and the defendant was identified as the owner of the account from which that money was withdrawn. It is believed through the facts and circumstances gathered during this investigation that the defendant, Chandler Ari Dunmeyer, is responsible for shooting and Killing the vietim, Colee Alora Muirhead, and therefore has committed the crime of Murder, §16- 3-10.
