Adoption of the revised salary rates for DOST-GIA Personnel is further subject to compliance to the following guidelines: 41. New and engoing approved programsiprojects shall be allowed to realign thelr budgets omeet the requirement ofthe salary adjustment However, no additonal funding shall be provided and upgrading of position ttle shall not be allowed 2 Consistent with the OOST-GIA guidelines, eagnment within 33% of expense item(s) shall be approved by the conoemed Program/Project Leaders. Realignment of more than 33% of expense item(s) shall be approved by the designated monitoring agency (9. Sectoral Councils, NRCP, and NAST). Copy of the amended line-item budget Shall be submitted to the Office of the Undersecretary for R&D. 3. For ongoing programs/projects with insufficient budget, the new rates may be adopted (on staggered bass or during project renewal where funds for this purpose shall be provided. 4. Existing contract of services of DOST personnel may be amended to comply with the new salary rates If project funcs are sufficient and position ties must be in accordance with the Revised/Updated DOST Qualification Standards to be issued immediately.
