Advanced Nursing Skills and Outcomes

The graduate students are expected to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals and families in both community and hospital settings. They should identify clients' health issues through interviews, exams, and lab results and determine nursing diagnoses. Learning Outcomes: After completing the course, the graduate students are expected

to:
1. Utilize the nursing process in the care of individuals, families in
community and hospital setting
2. Assess clients his/her/their condition/health status through interview,
physical examination and interpretations of laboratory findings
3. Identify actual and potential nursing diagnosis
4. Implement plan of care with client/s and family
5. Plan appropriate nursing interventions with client/s and family for
identified nursing diagnosis
6. Evaluate the progress of his/her/their client’s condition and outcomes of
care
7. Ensure a well-organized and accurate documentation system
8. Relate with client’s and their family and the health team appropriately
9. Observe bioethical concepts/principles, core values and nursing
standards in the care of clients.
10.Promote personal and professional growth of self and others
