Peer Educator, April 2006 to December 2007
- Lead programs at local schools educating about the dangers of smoking and other forms of tobacco use
- Visited retail stores that sold tobacco products to share information on consequences of selling tobacco
products to minors and how to properly read an ID.
- Participated in group seminars and training sessions to learn statistics, data and other information pertaining
to tobacco use, how to give effective group presentations, and to provide input on the very first T.R.U
(Tobacco Reality Unfiltered) commercials that were about to air on television.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Therapy Dogs International, Greensboro and Pittsboro, NC
- Certified pet therapy team along with my dog, Pip. Pip also has Canine Good Citizen certification.
- Conduct pet therapy visits at assisted living facilities, help with “Tail Waggin’ Tutors” program at libraries,
and on occasion, lead educational programs in schools.

- Completed various home repair and human service projects for families in need as part of a volunteer team
