Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hello parents and guardians of Mrs. Nachman’s 5th grade class. My name is Elizabeth Rohr and I
have the honor and privilege of being the student teacher in your child’s classroom. I am currently
attending Regent University in Virginia Beach and will be graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree
in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education), as well as a Kindergarten through 6th grade teaching
license. Through my college career as an education major, I have already spent numerous hours in the
classroom fulfilling practicum requirements, as well as volunteering within public schools. I have also
been a substitute teacher in Chesapeake for about a year now gaining more teaching experience. I love
teaching and have a passion for education and seeing students succeed to their highest potential. During
my free time, I spend most of my time with friends and family, or doing something creative like playing
music or acting.
For the next eight weeks, I will be in your child’s classroom working with them and observing Mrs.
Nachman. During the upcoming weeks, I will be taking more responsibility within the classroom including
taking over instruction as well as classroom management. Eventually, I will completely take over the
classroom, as apart of my training. During this time, please rest assured that Mrs. Nachman will be
mentoring me as well as keeping a close eye on my progress within the classroom. I am so excited about
these next eight weeks getting to know your children and having the opportunity to teach and learn more
from Mrs. Nachman. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me through ClassDojo or
meeting with me in person.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Rohr
