Priest: We are gathered here to celebrate the union between our sister Elizabeth and our brother
Jaime. Since it is your intention to enter into the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands.
Jaime, do you take Elizabeth to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and
in bad, in richness and poorness, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days
of your life until death?
Jaime: I do
Priest: Elizabeth, do you take Jaime to be your husband? Do you promise to be faithful to him in good
times and in bad, in richness and poorness, in sickness and in health, to love him and to honor him
all the days of your life?

* Pedro stands motionless for a moment and bends his head. Then he looks up, determined and

Jaime (angry): Are you going to insist on that? I am her fiancé, and soon we will be newlyweds
Elizabeth: It's late, Pedro. You left me when you decided to travel for so long, you never wrote to
me I knew nothing about you either. I thought you had forgotten me.
Pedro: I never would, never. I tried to do it but the truth is that I can not live without you. If you
marry, you will never know what could have been between us.
Priest: Roberto, do you take Elizabeth to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good
