Profile
Dr. Mohsini Hingun was called to the English Bar, Lincoln’s Inn in 1985 and commenced
academic career in 1987, teaching a wide variety of legal modules at several universities in Asia
and Africa on Law and Business undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. Has examined and
supervised a number of master’s and doctoral theses, particularly on Revenue Law.
Has authored three textbooks, two manuals, a number of articles and edited a number of works
published by Malayan Law Journal. Latest book, Equity and Trusts in Malaysia (Sweet &
Maxwell) has found a place in several libraries in Common Law Jurisdictions. Administrative
experience includes head of department, member of faculty board, founding member of the IIUM
Law Journal and its Chief Editor, 1994-1999; 2009-2013, founding member of the Law Centre,
IIUM and advisor to the University of Mauritius Trust.
Current research and teaching interest is focused on legal aspects of trusts, tax and finance.
