TASK

Allow students to experience conversing in English in a daily life situation.

TEXT

Fast-Food Restaurant

Worker: What would you like?

Customer: I 'll have a number six. The large hamburger, with everything, fries, and soda.

Worker: Would you like mustard and ketchup?

Customer: Yes, I said "with everything".

Worker: Okay. Would you like the special bread we have today?

Customer: Sure.

Worker: Would you like the special dessert today? A large fruit salad.

Customer: Sure.

Worker: Would you like ice cream, bananas, chocolate sauce and a cookie....

Customer: Ice cream yes. The cookie and bananas will be nice too. But, don't give me the
chocolate sauce.

Worker: Why not? Don't you like chocolate sauce?

Customer: No, it's not that. I am on a diet.

Worker: Okay. Here's your order. Enjoy!

Customer: Thanks. Have a nice day!


PROCEDURE

1. Teacher introduces the role play technique briefly before distributing the text.

2. Teacher explains the roles to the students.

3. Teacher distributes the text and introduces some words with correct pronunciation to the
students.

4. Teacher demonstrates how to do the role play.

5. Students work in pairs and practice their dialogues,

6. Students perform in front of the class.

7. Teacher and students give feedbacks.
