Logo diary

1. I went to File and New. I then set the canvas size.

2. I went to View and New Guide where I added

guides to see where I wanted different parts of
my logo to be placed. I went to the Toolbar
and created a multiple Squares using the
Rectangle Tool.

3. When creating the Squares, I went

to the Properties window and
chose the size and colour. Once I
had created a letter, I right clicked
on all the layers that made up the
letter and clicked on “Convert to
Smart Object”. This combined the
layers into one.

4. When creating the letter X, I clicked

on Ctrl and T where I set the
Squares angle to -45 or 45°.
5. I realised that whilst I was creating
the logo, the letters in the word
“PIXEL” were too big so I shrunk
the first three letters I created.

6. I decided to add more space

to the canvas by going to
Image and Canvas Size.

Learnt – I finished my logo and I saved it.

7. I noticed that the letter S was
smaller than the rest of the
letter in the word “PIXELS” so I
clicked on Ctrl and T where I
made the S bigger to match the
rest of the letters.

8. I went to File and Save As

where I saved the logo as a
PNG file.
