Sunday, February 11 3-5pm: “13th” is Showing at


St John’s United Methodist Church, 1100 Ontario
St. Oak Park.
“13th´ was nominated for an Academy award for Best
Documentary. It shows the evolution of slavery from
1600 to present. Film viewing, discussion and light
snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday, February 18 3-5pm: A Conversation on


Race, Colorblindness and White Fragility at First United Methodist
Church, 324 N Oak Park Ave., Oak Park. Film clips and video clips will
help focus the conversation. All are welcome – snacks provided.

Sunday, February 25 3-5 pm: Race and Education Issues at River


Forest United Methodist Church, 7970 Lake Street, River Forest.
The conversation around race as a factor in our educational system is
complex and timely. Come and learn and share in the conversation. All are
welcome and snacks are provided.

Sunday, March 4 3-5 pm: Intersections of Race,


Sexuality and Gender Conversation at Euclid United
Methodist Church, 405 S Euclid Ave., Oak Park. The
movie “Crash” will lead us into a conversation about
expectations, preconceived notions, and how we respond to
one another. Invite your friends for a movie, conversation
and light snacks.

Sunday, March 11 3-5 pm: Beloved Community – How do we get there


from here? A conversation for all of us at Neighborhood United
Methodist Church, 1817 Washington Blvd., Maywood. This will offer us
a time to reflect on what we have learned, what we want to do differently,
and how we can work together to create beloved community. Bring folks
who want to help with this kind of justice work.

Sunday, March 18 3-5 pm at First United Methodist Church, 324 N Oak


Park Ave., Oak Park: A conversation on “What have we learned?”
and future plans to do justice together. Everyone is invited.
