? dee a a ae ae, en . » EXERCISE 14 This next exercise is written out in the key of D major. This one was created to help you practice your scales in a more original way. It starts on the root of the key (D), and then moves through the scale steps in this order (V, VI, Il, Ill, IV). It then goes back to the second note in the scale shape (E), following the same idea, then starts on the third of the scale (F#), etc.. until reaching the root note (D) again, on the high E string. Make sure to practice this exercise ascending and descending.
