Boracay Family Friendly Service Trip

Sunday, Oct 24 – Friday Oct. 29

Boracay is a small Island in the Philippines, known for it’s tropical beaches and tourism industry.
Unfortunately, there is a local population on the island who are
living in poverty. “On the Rock Ministry” is an organization
developed to help these people by providing feeding sites,
nutritional supplements, basic first aid, and building a
kindergarten as well as a community center. Dan and Tori
Weaver, who run this organization, have established lodging
and a dining hall for service groups to come and assist in their
efforts with this impoverished village.
village

As a group
gr from Church of All Nations, we
plan to offer our support, time and energy
with On the Rock Ministry. Throughout
the week, we will be involved in the
project of building the community center
and playing with the children in the
village. The center has opened a
kindergarten, so there will be many opportunities to work with the
children.

The accommodations are rustic and clean. As you step out of your door, you step onto one of the
most beautiful beaches in the world. We will stay in either private rooms or dorm rooms,
depending on the group make-up. up. Families will be given individual rooms (with a double bed
and a bunk bed set accommodating
mmodating 4-5
4 family members); singles and teens may be in the
dormitories, if private rooms
oms are used by families. Breakfast and lunch will be provided in the
dining hall, with dinners out at the wonderful restaurants on the Island.
Island

In the evenings, we will take time to debrief as a group as well as have numerous opportunities to
relax and enjoy the tropical paradise of Boracay. Dan and Tori have also planned
lanned events such as
snorkeling trip and a sunset sail trip.
