O Allah, O He whom the depiction of the
describers fails to describe! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺻﻔِﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟﻮَﺍ‬
‫ﺼ ﹸﻔ ُﻪ ﹶﻧ ْﻌ ﹸ‬
ِ ‫ﻻ َﻳ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
O He beyond whom passes not the hope of the
hopers! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ُﻳﺠَﺎ ﹺﻭ ﹸﺯ ُﻩ َﺭﺟَﺎ ُﺀ ﭐﻟﺮﱠﺍﺟﹺﻴ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He with whom is not lost the wage of the
good-doers! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺴﻨﹺﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﺤ‬
ْ ‫ﺟ ُﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﺪْﻳ ِﻪ ﺍَٴ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹶﻟ‬
ُ ‫ﻻ َﻳﻀِﻴ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He who is the ultimate object of the fear of
the worshipers! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻑ ﭐﹾﻟﻌَﺎﹺﺑﺪِﻳ‬
ِ ‫ﺧ ْﻮ‬
‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ُﻣ ﹾﻨ ﹶﺘ َﻬﻰٰ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He who is the utmost limit of the dread of the
god-fearing! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺸ َﻴ ِﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﱠﺘﻘِﻴ‬
‫ﺧ ﹾ‬
‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ﻏﹶﺎَﻳ ﹸﺔ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
This is the station of him whom sins have
passed from hand to hand, ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﺬﻧﹸﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﺗﺪَﺍ َﻭﹶﻟ ﹾﺘ ُﻪ ﺍَٴْﻳﺪِﻱ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
ْ ‫َﻫﺬﹶﺍ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ ُﻡ َﻣ‬
offenses' reins have led him on, ‫ﺨﻄﹶﺎﻳَﺎ‬
‫َﻭﻗﹶﺎ َﺩﹾﺗ ُﻪ ﺍَٴ ﹺﺯ ﱠﻣ ﹸﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
and Satan has gained mastery over him. ‫ﻥ‬
ُ ‫ﺸ ْﻴﻄﹶﺎ‬
‫ﺤ َﻮ ﹶﺫ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐ‬
He fell short of what You have commanded
through neglect ‫ﺕ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹶﺗ ﹾﻔﺮﹺﻳﻄ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﺼ َﺮ َﻋﻤﱠﺎ ﺍَٴ َﻣ ْﺮ ﹶ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻘ ﱠ‬
and he pursued what You have prohibited in
delusion, ‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ ﹶﺗ ﹾﻐﺮﹺﻳﺮﹰﺍ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗﻌَﺎ ﹶﻃﻰٰ ﻣَﺎ ﹶﻧ َﻬ ْﻴ ﹶ‬
like one ignorant of Your power over him ‫ﻚ َﻋﻠِﻴ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﺪ َﺭِﺗ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﹺﺑ ﹸﻘ‬
‫ﹶﻛﭑﹾﻟﺠَﺎ ِﻫ ﹺ‬
or one who denies the bounty of Your
beneficence toward him, ‫ﻚ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﺣﺴَﺎﹺﻧ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﹺﺇ‬
‫ﻀ ﹶ‬
‫ﻜ ﹺﺮ ﹶﻓ ﹾ‬
ِ ‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﹶﻛﭑﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾﻨ‬
until, when the eye of guidance was opened for
him ٰ‫ﺪﻯ‬
َ ‫ﺼ ُﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻬ‬
‫ﺢ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ َﺑ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺣ ﱠﺘﻰٰ ﹺﺇﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻧ ﹶﻔ ﹶﺘ‬
َ
and the clouds of blindness were dispelled, ٰ‫ﺐ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ َﻤﻰ‬
ُ ‫ﺳﺤَﺎِﺋ‬
َ ‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ‬
‫ﺸ َﻌ ﹾ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ ﹶﻘ ﱠ‬
he reckoned that through which he had
wronged himself ‫ﺴ ُﻪ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹶﻧ ﹾﻔ‬
َ ‫ﺼﻰٰ ﻣَﺎ ﹶﻇ ﹶﻠ‬
‫ﺣ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ‬
and reflected upon that in which he had
opposed his Lord. ‫ﻒ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ َﺭﱠﺑ ُﻪ‬
َ ‫ﻜ َﺮ ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ ﺧﹶﺎﹶﻟ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻓ ﱠ‬
He saw his vast disobedience as vast ‫ﺼﻴَﺎﹺﻧ ِﻪ ﹶﻛﺒﹺﻴﺮﹰﺍ‬
‫ﹶﻓﺮَﺍَٴﻯٰ ﹶﻛﺒﹺﻴ َﺮ ِﻋ ﹾ‬
and his great opposition as great. ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﺟﻠِﻴ ﹰ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ُﻣﺨﹶﺎﹶﻟ ﹶﻔ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺟﻠِﻴ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
So he turned to You, hoping in You ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻼ ﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻙ ُﻣ َﺆ ﱢﻣ ﹰ‬
َ ‫ﺤ َﻮ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﹶﻧ‬
‫ﻓﹶﺎَٴ ﹾﻗ َﺒ ﹶ‬
and ashamed before You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺤﻴﹺﻴ ﹰﺎ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ ‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ‬
ْ ‫ُﻣ‬
and he directed his beseeching toward You,
having trust in You. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﺛ ﹶﻘ ﹰﺔ ﹺﺑ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﻪ َﺭ ﹾﻏ َﺒ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
‫َﻭ َﻭ ﱠ‬
He repaired to You in his longing with certitude ‫ﻄ َﻤ ِﻌ ِﻪ َﻳﻘِﻴﻨ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﻚ ﹺﺑ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻓﹶﺎَٴ ﱠﻣ‬
and he went straight to You in fear with
sincerity. ‫ﺧﻼﹶﺻ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﺨ ْﻮ ِﻓ ِﻪ ﹺﺇ ﹾ‬
‫ﻙ ﹺﺑ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ‫ﺼ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ ﹶ‬
His longing was devoid of every object of
longing but You, ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﻉ ﻓِﻴ ِﻪ ﹶﻏ ْﻴ ﹺﺮ‬
‫ﻄﻤُﻮ ﹴ‬
‫ﻞ َﻣ ﹾ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
ْ ‫ﻼ ﹶﻃ َﻤ ُﻌ ُﻪ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺧﹶ‬‫ﺪ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻗ‬
and his fright departed from every object of
fear but You. ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺳﻮَﺍ‬
ِ ‫ﺤﺬﹸﻭ ﹴﺭ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ َﻣ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
ْ ‫ﺥ َﺭ ْﻭ ُﻋ ُﻪ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻭَﺍَٴ ﹾﻓ َﺮ ﹶ‬

So he stood before You pleading, ‫ﻀﺮﱢﻋ ﹰﺎ‬

‫ﻚ ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺪْﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﺑ ْﻴ‬
‫ﹶﻓ َﻤ ﹶﺜ ﹶ‬
his eyes turned toward the ground in
humbleness, ‫ﺨﺸﱢﻌ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﺽ ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
‫ﻻ ْﺭ ﹺ‬
‫ﺼ َﺮ ُﻩ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﭐ َٴ‬
‫ﺾ َﺑ ﹶ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻏ ﱠﻤ ﹶ‬
his head bowed before Your might in lowliness; ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﺬﱢﻟ ﹰ‬
‫ﻚ ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ُﻪ ِﻟ ِﻌ ﱠﺰِﺗ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻃْٴﺎﻃﹶﺎَٴ َﺭﺍْٴ‬
he revealed to You in meekness those secrets of
his which You know better than he; ‫ﺧﻀﹸﻮﻋ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﻢ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﺖ ﺍَٴ ْﻋ ﹶﻠ‬
‫ﺳ ﱢﺮ ِﻩ ﻣَﺎ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻭَﺍَٴَﺑ ﱠﺜ‬
he numbered for You in humility those sins of
his which You count better than he; ‫ﺧﺸﹸﻮﻋ ﹰﺎ‬
‫ﺼﻰٰ ﹶﻟﻬَﺎ ﹸ‬
‫ﺣ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺖ َٴﺍ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﺫﻧﹸﻮﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﻣَﺎ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ َﺩ ِﻣ‬
‫َﻭ َﻋ ﱠ‬
he sought help from You before the dreadful
into which he has fallen in Your knowledge ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﻓِﻲ ِﻋ ﹾﻠ ِﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻣَﺎ َﻭ ﹶﻗ‬
‫ﻦ َﻋﻈِﻴ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﹺﺑ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘﻐﹶﺎ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐ‬
and the ugly which has disgraced him in Your
judgment ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻜ ِﻤ‬
‫ﺣﹾ‬ُ ‫ﺤ ُﻪ ﻓِﻲ‬
َ‫ﻀ‬‫ﺢ ﻣَﺎ ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻗﺒﹺﻴ ﹺ‬
the sins whose pleasures have turned their
backs and gone ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺬ َﻫ َﺒ ﹾ‬
‫ﺕ ﹶﻟﺬﱠﺍﹸﺗﻬَﺎ ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
‫ﺏ ﺍَٴ ْﺩَﺑ َﺮ ﹾ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﺫﻧﹸﻮ ﹴ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ‬
and whose evil consequences have stayed and
stuck fast. ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺖ ﹶﺗ ﹺﺒﻌَﺎﹸﺗﻬَﺎ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ ﹺﺰ َﻣ ﹾ‬
‫ﻭَﺍَٴﻗﹶﺎ َﻣ ﹾ‬
He will not deny Your justice, my God, if You
punish him, ‫ﻥ ﻋَﺎ ﹶﻗ ْﺒ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﹺﺇ‬
َ ‫ﺪﹶﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﻜ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ﹺﺇﻟٰﻬﹺﻲ َﻋ‬
ِ ‫ﻻ ُﻳ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﹶ‬
nor will he consider Your pardon great if You
pardon him and hast mercy upon him, ‫ﺣ ْﻤ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﺕ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ َﻭ َﺭ‬
‫ﻥ َﻋ ﹶﻔ ْﻮ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻙ ﹺﺇ‬
َ ‫ﻢ َﻋ ﹾﻔ َﻮ‬
ُ‫ﻈ‬
ِ ‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ ْﻌ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ َﻳ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
for You are the Generous Lord ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻜﺮﹺﻳ‬
‫ﺏ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
‫ﻚ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﻻﱠﹺﻧ‬
‫َٴ‬
for whom the forgiveness of great sins is
nothing great! ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﺐ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌﻈِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﺬﹾﻧ ﹺ‬
‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﻻ َﻳ ﹶﺘﻌَﺎ ﹶﻇ ُﻤ ُﻪ ﹸﻏ ﹾﻔﺮَﺍ‬
‫ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﹶ‬
O Allah, so here I am: I have come to You
obeying Your command ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ُﻣﻄِﻴﻌ ﹰﺎ ﻻَٴِ ْﻣ ﹺﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺟ ﹾﺌ ﹸﺘ‬
‫ﺪ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓﻬَﺎ ﺍَٴﻧﹶﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﹶﻗ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
for You have commanded supplication ‫ﺪﻋَﺎ ِﺀ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ ﺍَٴ َﻣ ْﺮ ﹶ‬
and asking the fulfillment of Your promise, ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶﻨﺠﱢﺰﹰﺍ َﻭ ْﻋ‬
for You have promised to respond: ‫ﻹﺟَﺎَﺑ ِﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻦﭐ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ َﻭ َﻋ‬
You have said, “Supplicate Me and I will
respond to you.” «.‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺐ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺠ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ »ﭐ ْﺩﻋُﻮﻧﹺﻲ ﺍَٴ‬:‫ﹺﺇ ﹾﺫ ﹶﺗﻘﹸﻮﻝﹸ‬
O Allah, So bless Muhammad and his
Household, ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺼ ﱢ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
meet me with Your forgiveness just as I have
met You with my confession, ‫ﻚ ﹺﺑ ﹺﺈ ﹾﻗﺮَﺍﺭﹺﻱ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﹶﻟﻘِﻴ ﹸﺘ‬
َ ‫َﻭﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻘﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ َﻤ ﹾﻐ ِﻔ َﺮِﺗ‬
lift me up from the fatal infirmities of sins ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﺬﻧﹸﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻉ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﻦ َﻣﺼﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐ ْﺭ ﹶﻓ ْﻌﻨﹺﻲ َﻋ‬
just as I have let myself down before You, ‫ﻚ ﹶﻧ ﹾﻔﺴِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﹶﻟ‬
‫ﺿ ْﻌ ﹸ‬
‫ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ َﻭ ﹶ‬
and cover me with Your covering ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ﹾﺘ ﹺﺮ‬
ِ ‫ﺳ ﹸﺘ ْﺮﻧﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐ‬
just as You have shown no haste to take
vengeance on me! ‫ﻦ ﭐِﻟﭑﹾﻧ ِﺘﻘﹶﺎ ﹺﻡ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ‬
‫ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﺗﹶﺎَٴﱠﻧ ْﻴ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ َﻋ ﹺ‬
O Allah, make firm my intention to obey You, ‫ﻚ ﹺﻧ ﱠﻴﺘِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺖ ﻓِﻲ ﻃﹶﺎ َﻋ ِﺘ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭﹶﺛ ﱢﺒ ﹾ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬

strengthen my insight in worshiping You, ‫ﻚ َﺑﺼِﻴ َﺮﺗِﻲ‬

َ ‫ﻢ ﻓِﻲ ِﻋﺒَﺎ َﺩِﺗ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬
ِ‫ﺣ‬ْ ‫ﻭَﺍَٴ‬
give me the success of works which will wash
‫ﺨﻄﹶﺎﻳَﺎ‬
‫ﺲ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ َﺩﹶﻧ‬
‫ﺴ ﹸ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ ِﻟﻤَﺎ ﹶﺗ ﹾﻐ‬
‫ﻻ ْﻋﻤَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐ َٴ‬
َ ‫َﻭ َﻭ ﱢﻓ ﹾﻘﻨﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
away the defilement of offenses,
‫َﻋﻨﱢﻲ‬
and take me following Your religion ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﺗ َﻮ ﱠﻓﻨﹺﻲ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ِﻣ ﱠﻠ ِﺘ‬
and the creed of Your prophet Mu¦ammad,
upon him be peace, when You take me. ‫ﻼ ُﻡ ﹺﺇﺫﹶﺍ ﹶﺗ َﻮ ﱠﻓ ْﻴ ﹶﺘﻨﹺﻲ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ُﻣ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ِﻣ ﱠﻠ ِﺔ ﹶﻧ ﹺﺒ ﱢﻴ‬
O Allah, I repent to You in this my station ‫ﻚ ﻓِﻲ َﻣﻘﹶﺎﻣِﻲ ﻫٰﺬﹶﺍ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍَٴﺗﹸﻮ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
from my sins, great and small, ‫ﺻﻐﹶﺎِﺋ ﹺﺮﻫَﺎ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻛﺒَﺎِﺋ ﹺﺮ ﹸﺫﻧﹸﻮﺑﹺﻲ َﻭ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ‬
my evil deeds, inward and outward, ‫ﺳ ﱢﻴﺌﹶﺎﺗِﻲ َﻭ ﹶﻇﻮَﺍ ِﻫ ﹺﺮﻫَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
‫َﻭَﺑﻮَﺍ ِﻃ ﹺ‬
and my lapses, past and recent, ‫ﺣﻮَﺍ ِﺩِﺛﻬَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻻﺗِﻲ َﻭ‬
‫ﻒ ﹶﺯ ﱠﹶ‬
ِ ‫ﺳﻮَﺍِﻟ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
with the repentance of one who does not tell
himself that he might disobey ‫ﺼ َﻴ ٍﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﺴ ُﻪ ﹺﺑ َﻤ ْﻌ‬
َ ‫ﺙ ﹶﻧ ﹾﻔ‬
‫ﺪ ﹸ‬
‫ﺤﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ُﻳ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ﹶﺔ َﻣ‬
or secretly think that he might return to an
offense. ‫ﺧﻄِﻴ ﹶﺌ ٍﺔ‬
‫ﻥ َﻳﻌُﻮ َﺩ ﻓِﻲ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻀ ِﻤ ُﺮ ﺍَٴ‬
‫ﻻ ُﻳ ﹾ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
You have said, my God, in the firm text of Your
Book, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻛﺘﹶﺎﹺﺑ‬
‫ﻜﹺ‬
‫ﺤﹶ‬ْ ‫ﺖ ﻳَﺎ ﹺﺇﻟٰﻬﹺﻲ ﻓِﻲ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﹸﻗ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ‬
that You accept repentance from Your servants, ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ِﻋﺒَﺎ ِﺩ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﻮَﺑ ﹶﺔ َﻋ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶﺗ ﹾﻘ َﺒ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺇﱠﻧ‬
pardon evil deeds, ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﺴ ﱢﻴﺌﹶﺎ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ ْﻌﻔﹸﻮ َﻋ ﹺ‬
and love the repentant, ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘﻮﱠﺍﺑﹺﻴ‬
‫ﺤ ﱡ‬
ِ ‫َﻭﹸﺗ‬
so accept my repentance as You have promised, ‫ﺕ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑﺘِﻲ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ َﻭ َﻋ‬
‫ﹶﻓﭑ ﹾﻗ َﺒ ﹾ‬
pardon my evil deeds as You have guaranteed, ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺿ ِﻤ ﹾﻨ ﹶ‬
‫ﺳ ﱢﻴﺌﹶﺎﺗِﻲ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻒ َﻋ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﭐ ْﻋ‬
and make obligatory toward me Your love as
You have stipulated! ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺷ َﺮ ﹾﻃ ﹶ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ﱠﺒ ﹶﺘ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﻟِﻲ َﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﺟ‬
‫ﻭَﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﹺ‬
To You, my Lord, belongs my stipulation that I
will not return to what is disliked by You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻜﺮُﻭ ِﻫ‬
‫ﻻ ﺍَٴﻋُﻮ َﺩ ﻓِﻲ َﻣ ﹾ‬
‫ﻥ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺷ ْﺮﻃِﻲ ﺍَٴ‬
‫ﺏ ﹶ‬
‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ ﱢ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
my guarantee that I will not go back to what
You blame, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺬﻣُﻮ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻊ ﻓِﻲ َﻣ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ﺍَٴﺭْﺟ‬
‫ﻥ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺿﻤَﺎﻧﹺﻲ ﺍَٴ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
and my covenant that I will stay away from acts
of disobedience to You. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻊ َﻣﻌَﺎﺻِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺟﻤِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺠ َﺮ‬
ُ ‫ﻥ ﺍَٴ ْﻫ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ َﻋ ْﻬﺪِﻱ ﺍَٴ‬
O Allah, You know better what I have done, ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﻢ ﹺﺑﻤَﺎ َﻋ ِﻤ ﹾﻠ ﹸ‬
ُ ‫ﻚ ﺍَٴ ْﻋ ﹶﻠ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﱠﻧ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
so forgive me what You know ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﹶﻓﭑ ﹾﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ﻟِﻲ ﻣَﺎ َﻋ ِﻠ ْﻤ ﹶ‬
and turn me through Your power to what You
love. ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﺣ َﺒ ْﺒ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﻣَﺎ ﺍَٴ‬
َ ‫ﺪ َﺭِﺗ‬
ْ ‫ﺻ ﹺﺮ ﹾﻓﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ﹸﻘ‬
‫َﻭﭐ ﹾ‬
O Allah, counted against me are claims that
stay in my memory ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺣﻔِﻈ ﹸﺘ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
ْ ‫ﺕ ﹶﻗ‬
‫ﻲ ﹶﺗ ﹺﺒﻌَﺎ ﹲ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ﱠ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬

and claims that I have forgotten, ‫ﻦ‬

‫ﺪ ﹶﻧﺴِﻴ ﹸﺘ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﺕ ﹶﻗ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ ﹺﺒﻌَﺎ ﹲ‬
while all of them remain in Your eye that does
not sleep ‫ﻻ ﹶﺗﻨﹶﺎ ُﻡ‬
‫ﻚ ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ َﻌ ْﻴ ﹺﻨ‬
‫َﻭ ﹸﻛ ﱡﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
and Your knowledge that does not forget! ٰ‫ﺴﻰ‬
َ ‫ﻻ َﻳ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﻚ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ِﻋ ﹾﻠ ِﻤ‬
So, compensate their owners, ‫ﺽ ِﻣ ﹾﻨﻬَﺎ ﺍَٴ ْﻫ ﹶﻠﻬَﺎ‬
‫ﹶﻓ َﻌ ﱢﻮ ﹾ‬
lighten their load upon me, ‫ﻂ َﻋﻨﱢﻲ ﹺﻭ ﹾﺯ َﺭﻫَﺎ‬
‫ﻄ ﹾ‬
‫ﺣﹸ‬ْ ‫َﻭﭐ‬
lift up their weight from me, ‫ﻒ َﻋﻨﱢﻲ ِﺛ ﹾﻘ ﹶﻠﻬَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﺧ ﱢﻔ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
and preserve me from approaching their like! ‫ﻑ ِﻣ ﹾﺜ ﹶﻠﻬَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﺍُٴﻗﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َٴﺍ‬
ْ ‫ﺼ ْﻤﻨﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
ِ ‫َﻭﭐ ْﻋ‬
O Allah, but I cannot be faithful to my
repentance without Your preservation, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺼ َﻤ ِﺘ‬
‫ﻻ ﹺﺑ ِﻌ ﹾ‬
‫ﻻ َﻭﻓﹶﺎ َﺀ ﻟِﻲ ﹺﺑﭑﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﻮَﺑ ِﺔ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭﹺﺇﱠﻧ ُﻪ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
nor can I refrain from offenses without Your
strength. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹸﻗ ﱠﻮِﺗ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ َﻋ‬
‫ﺨﻄﹶﺎﻳَﺎ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
‫ﻙ ﺑﹺﻲ َﻋ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ِﺘ ْﻤﺴَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻻﭐ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
So, strengthen me with a sufficient strength ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻘ ﱢﻮﻧﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ﹸﻘ ﱠﻮ ٍﺓ ﻛﹶﺎ ِﻓ َﻴ ٍﺔ‬
and attend to me with a defending
preservation! ‫ﺼ َﻤ ٍﺔ ﻣَﺎﹺﻧ َﻌ ٍﺔ‬
‫َﻭﹶﺗ َﻮﱠﻟﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ ِﻌ ﹾ‬
O Allah, if any servant repents to You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺗﹶﺎ‬
ٍ ‫ﻢ ﺍَٴﱡﻳﻤَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
while in Your knowledge of the Unseen will
break his repentance ‫ﺦ ِﻟ ﹶﺘ ْﻮَﺑ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺳ ﹲ‬
ِ ‫ﻙ ﻓﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻐ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
‫َﻭ ُﻫ َﻮ ﻓِﻲ ِﻋ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
and return to his sin and offense, ‫ﺧﻄِﻴ ﹶﺌ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺪ ﻓِﻲ ﹶﺫﹾﻧ ﹺﺒ ِﻪ َﻭ ﹶ‬
ٌ ‫َﻭﻋَﺎِﺋ‬
I seek refuge in You lest I be like that! ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﹶﻛﺬِٰﻟ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﺍَٴﻛﹸﻮ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﺍَٴ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹺﺈﻧﱢﻲ ﺍَٴﻋُﻮ ﹸﺫ ﹺﺑ‬
So, make this my repentance ‫ﺬ ِﻩ‬
ِ ٰ‫ﻞ ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑﺘِﻲ ﻫ‬
‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻓﭑ‬
a repentance after which I will need no
repentance ‫ﺪﻫَﺎ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ٍﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺝ َﺑ ْﻌ‬
ُ ‫ﺣﺘﹶﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ ﺍَٴ‬
‫ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ﹰﺔ ﹶ‬
and a repentance which will obligate the
erasing of what has gone by ‫ﻒ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﹶﻠ‬
َ ‫ﺤ ﹺﻮ ﻣَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﺟ َﺒ ﹰﺔ ِﻟ َﻤ‬
‫ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ﹰﺔ ﻣُﻮ ﹺ‬
and safety in what remains! ‫ﻲ‬
َ ‫ﻼ َﻣ ِﺔ ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ َﺑ ِﻘ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬
‫َﻭﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
O Allah, I ask pardon from You for my
ignorance, ‫ﺟ ْﻬﻠِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺬ ُﺭ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍَٴ ْﻋ ﹶﺘ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
and I ask You to disregard my evil acts! ‫ﻚ ﺳُﻮ َﺀ ِﻓ ْﻌﻠِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ْﻮ ِﻫ ُﺒ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺍَٴ‬
So join me to the shelter of Your mercy through
graciousness ‫ﻻ‬
‫ﻄ ﱡﻮ ﹰ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶﺗ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﻒ َﺭ‬
ِ ‫ﺿ ُﻤ ْﻤﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﹶﻛ ﹶﻨ‬
‫ﹶﻓﭑ ﹾ‬
and cover me with the covering of Your well-
being through bounteousness! ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﻀﹰ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶﺗ ﹶﻔ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ﹾﺘ ﹺﺮ ﻋَﺎ ِﻓ َﻴ ِﺘ‬
ِ ‫ﺳ ﹸﺘ ْﺮﻧﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐ‬
O Allah, I repent to You ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ َﻭﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍَٴﺗﹸﻮ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
from everything opposed to Your will ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻒ ﹺﺇﺭَﺍ َﺩﹶﺗ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﻣَﺎ ﺧﹶﺎﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬

or far from Your love— ‫ﻚ‬

َ ‫ﺤ ﱠﺒ ِﺘ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﻝ َﻋ‬
‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﺯﹶﺍ ﹶ‬
the thoughts of my heart, ‫ﺕ ﹶﻗ ﹾﻠﺒﹺﻲ‬
ِ ‫ﻄﺮَﺍ‬
‫ﺧﹶ‬‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ‬
the glances of my eye, ‫ﺕ َﻋ ْﻴﻨﹺﻲ‬
ِ ‫ﺤﻈﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
the tales of my tongue— ‫ﺕ ِﻟﺴَﺎﻧﹺﻲ‬
ِ ‫ﺣﻜﹶﺎﻳَﺎ‬
ِ ‫َﻭ‬
with a repentance through which each bodily ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﺣﻴَﺎِﻟﻬَﺎ ِﻣ‬
ِ ٰ‫ﺣ ٍﺔ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﺟَﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
‫ﻢ ﹺﺑﻬَﺎ ﹸﻛ ﱡ‬
ُ ‫ﺴ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ﹰﺔ ﹶﺗ‬
part will by itself stay safe from ill
consequences with You ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﹶﺗ ﹺﺒﻌَﺎِﺗ‬
and remain secure from Your painful penalties
feared by transgressors! ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻄﻮَﺍِﺗ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬َ ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍَٴﻟِﻴ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻑ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﻌ ﹶﺘﺪُﻭ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ِﻣﻤﱠﺎ َﻳﺨﹶﺎ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﹶﺗْٴﺎ َﻣ‬
O Allah, so have mercy on my being alone
before You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺪْﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻳ‬
َ ‫ﺪﺗِﻲ َﺑ ْﻴ‬
َ‫ﺣ‬ْ ‫ﻢ َﻭ‬
ْ‫ﺣ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﹶﻓﭑ ْﺭ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
the pounding of my heart in dread of You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺸ َﻴ ِﺘ‬
‫ﺧ ﹾ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺐ ﹶﻗ ﹾﻠﺒﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫َﻭ َﻭﺟﹺﻴ‬
and the trembling of my limbs in awe of You! ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻫ ْﻴ َﺒ ِﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﺏ ﺍَٴ ْﺭﻛﹶﺎﻧﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻄﺮَﺍ‬
ِ‫ﺿ‬‫َﻭﭐ ﹾ‬
My sins, my God, have stood me in the station
of degradation in Your courtyard. ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻱ ﹺﺑ ِﻔﻨﹶﺎِﺋ‬
‫ﺨ ﹾﺰ ﹺ‬
ِ ‫ﺏ ﹸﺫﻧﹸﻮﺑﹺﻲ َﻣﻘﹶﺎ َﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺪ ﺍَٴﻗﹶﺎ َﻣ ﹾﺘﻨﹺﻲ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ ﱢ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻘ‬
If I remain silent, none will speak for me; ‫ﺪ‬
ٌ‫ﺣ‬
َ ‫ﻖ َﻋﻨﱢﻲ ﺍَٴ‬
ْ ‫ﻄ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﻳ ﹾﻨ‬
ْ ‫ﺖ ﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻜ ﱡ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬َ ‫ﻥ‬
ْ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹺﺈ‬
if I seek an intercessor, I am not worthy for
intercession. ‫ﺸﻔﹶﺎ َﻋ ِﺔ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
‫ﺖ ﺑﹺﺎَٴ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
‫ﺴ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺖ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ‬
‫ﺷ ﹶﻔ ْﻌ ﹸ‬
‫ﻥ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹺﺇ‬
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household, ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺻ ﱢ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
make Your generosity intercede for my
offenses, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻱ ﹶﻛ َﺮ َﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺧﻄﹶﺎﻳَﺎ‬
‫ﻊ ﻓِﻲ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺷ ﱢﻔ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
follow up my evil deeds with Your pardon, ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ﱢﻴﺌﹶﺎﺗِﻲ ﹺﺑ َﻌ ﹾﻔ ﹺﻮ‬
َ ٰ‫ﺪ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ُﻋ‬
repay me not with the punishment that is my
proper repayment, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ُﻋﻘﹸﻮَﺑ ِﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﺟﺰﹶﺍﺋِﻲ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺠ ﹺﺰﻧﹺﻲ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ ﹶﺗ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
spread over me Your graciousness, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻲ ﹶﻃ ْﻮﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻂ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ﱠ‬
‫ﺴ ﹾ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﭐْﺑ‬
wrap me in Your covering, ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ﹾﺘ ﹺﺮ‬
ِ ‫ﺟ ﱢﻠ ﹾﻠﻨﹺﻲ ﹺﺑ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
and do with me what is done by a mighty man, ‫ﻞ َﻋﺰﹺﻳ ﹴﺰ‬
‫ﻞ ﺑﹺﻲ ِﻓ ْﻌ ﹶ‬
‫َﻭﭐ ﹾﻓ َﻌ ﹾ‬
when a lowly slave pleads to him and he shows
him mercy, ‫ﺣ َﻤ ُﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻞ ﹶﻓ َﺮ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶﺫﻟِﻴ ﹲ‬
ٌ ‫ﻉ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ ِﻪ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻀ ﱠﺮ‬
‫ﹶﺗ ﹶ‬
or a rich man, when a poor slave submits
himself and he raises him to wealth! ‫ﺸ ُﻪ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶﻓﻘِﻴ ٌﺮ ﹶﻓ ﹶﻨ َﻌ ﹶ‬
ٌ ‫ﺽ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ َﻋ ْﺒ‬
‫ﻲ ﹶﺗ َﻌ ﱠﺮ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﹶﻏ ﹺﻨ ﱟ‬
O Allah, I have no protector against You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺧﻔِﻴ َﺮ ﻟِﻲ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ‬
‫ﻻ ﹶ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
so let Your might be my protector! ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺨ ﹸﻔ ْﺮﻧﹺﻲ ِﻋ ﱡﺰ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹾﻠ َﻴ ﹾ‬
I have no intercessor with You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﻟِﻲ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺷﻔِﻴ‬
‫ﻻ ﹶ‬

so let Your bounty be my intercessor! ‫ﻚ‬

َ ‫ﻀ ﹸﻠ‬
‫ﻊ ﻟِﻲ ﹶﻓ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﺸ ﹶﻔ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹾﻠ َﻴ ﹾ‬
My offenses have set me quaking, ‫ﻱ‬
َ ‫ﺧﻄﹶﺎﻳَﺎ‬
‫ﺟ ﹶﻠ ﹾﺘﻨﹺﻲ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﺍَٴ ْﻭ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ‬
so let Your pardon give me security! ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹾﻠ ُﻴ ْﺆ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ َﻋ ﹾﻔ ُﻮ‬
Not all that I have said rises up from my
ignorance of my evil footsteps ‫ﻞ ِﻣﻨﱢﻲ ﹺﺑﺴُﻮ ِﺀ ﺍَٴﹶﺛﺮﹺﻱ‬
‫ﺟ ْﻬ ﹴ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ َﻋ‬
‫ﻄ ﹾﻘ ﹸ‬
‫ﻞ ﻣَﺎ ﹶﻧ ﹶ‬
‫ﹶﻓﻤَﺎ ﹸﻛ ﱡ‬
or forgetfulness of my blameworthy acts in the
past, ‫ﻢ ِﻓ ْﻌﻠِﻲ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﺫﻣِﻴ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻖ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺳ َﺒ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ِﻟﻤَﺎ‬
ٍ ‫ﺴﻴَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ ﹺﻧ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
but in order that Your heaven and those within
it ‫ﻦ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻙ َﻭ َﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺳﻤَﺎ ُﺅ‬
َ ‫ﻊ‬
َ ‫ﺴ َﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ِﻟ ﹶﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﻜ‬
ِ ٰ‫َﻭﻟ‬
and Your earth and those upon it ‫ﻦ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻬَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ َﻭ َﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺿ‬
‫َﻭﺍَٴ ْﺭ ﹸ‬
may hear the remorse which I have professed to
You ‫ﺪ ﹺﻡ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻨ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻣَﺎ ﺍَٴ ﹾﻇ َﻬ ْﺮ ﹸ‬
and the repentance through which I have
sought asylum with You. ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﻮَﺑ ِﺔ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﻓِﻴ ِﻪ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺕ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
‫ﺠْٴﺎ ﹸ‬
َ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
Then perhaps one of them, through Your
mercy, may show mercy upon my evil situation ‫ﻦ ﺳُﻮ ِﺀ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻗﻔِﻲ‬
ْ ‫ﺣ ُﻤﻨﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻚ َﻳ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺑ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻀ ُﻬ‬
‫ﻞ َﺑ ْﻌ ﹶ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻠ َﻌ ﱠ‬
or be seized by tenderness for my evil state. ‫ﻲ ِﻟﺴُﻮ ِﺀ ﺣَﺎﻟِﻲ‬
‫ﺪ ﹺﺭ ﹸﻛ ُﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱢﺮ ﱠﻗ ﹸﺔ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﹸﺗ‬
There may come from him for my sake a
supplication ‫ﺪ ْﻋ َﻮ ٍﺓ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ َﻴﻨﹶﺎﹶﻟﻨﹺﻲ ِﻣ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ ﹺﺑ‬
to which You give ear more than to my
supplication ‫ﻦ ُﺩﻋَﺎﺋِﻲ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺪْﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹶﻟ‬
ُ ‫ﺳ َﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ﺍَٴ‬
َ ‫ِﻫ‬
or an intercession surer with You than my
intercession ‫ﺷﻔﹶﺎ َﻋﺘِﻲ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻙ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
ُ ‫ﺷﻔﹶﺎ َﻋ ٍﺔ َٴﺍ ْﻭ ﹶﻛ‬
‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﹶ‬
through which I may be delivered from Your
wrath and attain to Your good pleasure! ‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﻚ َﻭ ﹶﻓ ْﻮﺯﹺﻱ ﹺﺑ ﹺﺮﺿﹶﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻀ ﹺﺒ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻏ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ ﹺﺑﻬَﺎ ﹶﻧﺠَﺎﺗِﻲ ِﻣ‬
ُ ‫ﹶﺗﻜﹸﻮ‬
O Allah, if remorse is a repentance toward You, ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ُﻡ ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑ ﹰﺔ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻨ‬
‫ﻜ ﹺ‬
‫ﻥ َﻳ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
then I am the most remorseful of the
remorseful! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ُﻡ ﭐﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِﺩﻣِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻓﹶﺎَٴﻧﹶﺎ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ‬
If refraining from disobedience is a turning
back to You, ‫ﻚ ﹺﺇﻧﹶﺎَﺑ ﹰﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺼ َﻴ ِﺘ‬
ِ ‫ﻙ ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻌ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﺮ‬
‫ﻜ ﹺ‬
‫ﻥ َﻳ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹺﺇ‬
then I am the first of those who turn back! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤﻨﹺﻴﺒﹺﻴ‬
‫ﻓﹶﺎَٴﻧﹶﺎ ﺍَٴ ﱠﻭ ﹸ‬
If praying for forgiveness alleviates sins, ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﺬﻧﹸﻮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻄ ﹰﺔ ﻟِﻠ ﱡ‬
‫ﺣﱠ‬ِ ‫ﺳ ِﺘ ﹾﻐﻔﹶﺎ ُﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﭐِﻟﭑ‬
‫ﻜ ﹺ‬
‫ﻥ َﻳ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹺﺇ‬
surely I am one of those who pray for Your
forgiveness! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ ﹾﻐ ِﻔﺮﹺﻳ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹺﺈﻧﱢﻲ ﹶﻟ‬
O Allah, as You have commanded repentance
and guaranteed acceptance, ‫ﻝ‬
‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻘﺒُﻮ ﹶ‬
‫ﺿ ِﻤ ﹾﻨ ﹶ‬
‫ﺕ ﹺﺑﭑﻟ ﱠﺘ ْﻮَﺑ ِﺔ َﻭ ﹶ‬
‫ﻜﻤَﺎ ﺍَٴ َﻣ ْﺮ ﹶ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
as You have urged supplication, and promised
to respond, ‫ﻹﺟَﺎَﺑ ﹶﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﺕﭐ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺪﻋَﺎ ِﺀ َﻭ َﻭ َﻋ‬
‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﺣ ﹶﺜ ﹾﺜ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
so bless Muhammad and his Household, ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺼ ﱢ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹶ‬
accept my repentance, ‫ﻞ ﹶﺗ ْﻮَﺑﺘِﻲ‬
‫َﻭﭐ ﹾﻗ َﺒ ﹾ‬

and return me not to the returning place of

disappointment in Your mercy! ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺘ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﺨ ْﻴ َﺒ ِﺔ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻊ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
َ‫ﺟ‬
‫ﺟ ْﻌﻨﹺﻲ َﻣ ْﺮ ﹺ‬
‫ﻻ ﹶﺗ ْﺮ ﹺ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
Surely, You are Ever-turning toward the
sinners ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺬﹺﻧﺒﹺﻴ‬
‫ﺏ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾ‬
ُ ‫ﺖ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺘﻮﱠﺍ‬
‫ﻚ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺇﱠﻧ‬
and All-compassionate toward the offenders
who turn back! ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤﻨﹺﻴﺒﹺﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ِﻟ ﹾﻠﺨﹶﺎ ِﻃﺌِﻴ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﭐﻟ ﱠﺮﺣِﻴ‬
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household
just as You have guided us by him! ‫ﺪْﻳ ﹶﺘﻨﹶﺎ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ َﻫ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺻ ﱢ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶ‬
‫ﺍﹶﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
Bless Muhammad and his Household just as
You have rescued us through him! ‫ﺬﹶﺗﻨﹶﺎ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ﹾﻨ ﹶﻘ ﹾ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﭐ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺻ ﱢ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
Bless Muhammad and his Household, ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺻ ﱢ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
with a blessing that will intercede for us on the
Day of Resurrection, the day of neediness ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹶﻟﻨﹶﺎ َﻳ ْﻮ َﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻘﻴَﺎ َﻣ ِﺔ َﻭَﻳ ْﻮ َﻡ ﭐﹾﻟﻔﹶﺎ ﹶﻗ ِﺔ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ ْﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﺸ ﹶﻔ‬
‫ﻼ ﹰﺓ ﹶﺗ ﹾ‬
‫ﺻﹶ‬
‫ﹶ‬
toward You!

You are powerful over everything, ‫ﻞ ﺷﹶﻲ ٍﺀ ﹶﻗﺪِﻳ ٌﺮ‬

‫ﻚ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﹺﺇﱠﻧ‬
and this is easy for You. ‫ﻚ َﻳﺴِﻴ ٌﺮ‬
َ ‫َﻭ ُﻫ َﻮ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ‬
