limited to, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Description of how to implement in the class: Students will be required to create their own Sway
and present it to the class. Their Sway will identify and explain the types of religion as listed, Universalizing
Religion, Ethnic Religion, Polytheism, Monotheism, and Animism. Students will identify and explain the
differences of a universalizing vs. an ethnic religion and will be able to give examples for each, including
but not limited to Christianity/Islam for a universalizing religion and Judaism/Shintoism for an ethnic
religion. Furthermore, students will be able to make connections between religion and the broader theme
of culture and how each influence each other.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This lesson achieves a LoTI 3 due to its use of
technology and its requirement for students to list and explain the differences in the types of religion and
connecting it to the broader theme of culture and culture growth.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *: Attached below is an
example that will be shown in class so that students for them to draw inspiration from and serve as a
reference point. The sway provided will show the various functions further inspiring the students with its
functionality.
