The Corporate Interface Team, SIBM Pune organized
rcturus 2017' The Leadership ‘Conclave on 18" August
017". Arcturus, the brightest star of the celestial equator
is the eponymous star of one of the ‘nakshatras of the
Hindu astrology. The nakshatras are related to the most
prominent asterisms in their respective sectors.
* The Leadership Conclave witnessed a series of guest
ctures by leaders from various organizations who have
ade their mark and proved their competency in the
global business scenarios. The themes for the two panel
discussions for Arcturus 201 7 were
‘The Changing Global Order: Age of Disruption’ and
‘Navigating Uncertainties: Strategies for Innovation and
Growth

corporate world. Imperio aims to lessen the divide

The sports management team will proudly host the ~
th version of the flagship SIBM Premier League which. is
-a cricket tournament organised on the lines of BCCI's
Indian Premier League. Tapping into the popularity of
ket in the students, the League saw over 170+ students ~
icipating in a total of 8 teams over a week of cricketing
extravaganza on the last edition. The under lights
‘nament is the highlight event of the year and remains
«the most anticipated in the sporting season. The concept
of having teams participate in auctions for captains or
‘icon players’ and then other players subsequently is a big
hit and gamers much more attention than a usual
ournament would. with the stakes high, the matches were
eceded by rigorous practice sessions and competitive
spicit. The tournament saw some exemplary performances
and memorable innings. The team winning at the end not
only wins the tournament and prize money but also wins al
ot of hearts. The league as a whole is sure to etch its mark
in the hearts of all those participating as well as witnessing
the magnitude and excitement of the league.iConclave is a platform where successful Entrepreneurs,
| inovators engage in insightful deliberation on the latest
| BUness and Innovation opportunities in India. This platform
also. provides an opportunity for the students to get some
advice from stalwarts, on their respective business idea.
| The Guest Speakers for the event were Mr. Sharad Sagar,
i Mr. Amol Chaphekar and Ms. Sarita Chand.
Mr. Sharad Sagar is the founder and CEO of Dexterity Global
and is also the keynote speaker for the event. His name was
also included in Forbes 30 under 30. Mr. Amol Chaphekar is
the MD of Strata Group. He was recognized as one of uid a
Top 10 Innovators of India by NDTV Profit. Ms. Sarita Chan
the Co-founder and Director of EduPristine, India’s leading
financial training institute which is backed by Mark Mobius.4 COMPETITIONShe Innovation Club of SIBM Pune organised "The Pitch 2018",
an exclusive B-Plan Pitch event for the students of MBA in
Movation and Entrepreneurship. Students at various stages
eir Start-Ups took part and 13 teams made it to the final
round which took place at the SIBM Pune Lavale Campus on
January 22, 2018.
The top 3 ideas were awarded with cash prize worth
Rs.1,50,000. The winning ideas were in the field of Subscription
Boxes, Logistics and Education. The panel, which included
two people from the Start-up Domain, Mr. Yashodhan Joshi,
Founder of Pixlent and Mr. Sandeep Suryavanshi, Founder of
AideExpert also provided their feedback to students along
with judging the ideas.
Going through the whole process within their own camp
was a great learning experience for the students which foley
them a fair idea of how things generally work in these_
competitions and also gave them some feedback on théir
working. 2
~~ITC Interrobang is ITC's unique campus engagement
initiative which provides students from premier management
institutes to engage with the Company through an
‘interactive and creative learning experience. it is one of
most “looked forward" competition as it hosts ITC's top
management alongside the prestigious
‘ITC Interrobang Challenge’
The Finale to Interrobang Season 7, a case study competition
carried out by ITC was conducted at the SIBM Pune campus.
This competition provides HR students with a platform to
showcase their potential by applying various human resource
management principles and practices to address current day
problems. The ITC team organised the finale, with a hostof
engaging activities planned throughout the event.
HR leaders from ITC. Mrs. Chandana Ghosh, Head-
Competency Development, ITC, addressed the audienc
with anecdotes from her career, especifically relating t
talent in sales and marketing. Mr. L. Prabhakar, ™
Vice President — Human Resources (Agri-business Division
ITC, took the stage next. He spoke about employee NS
relations in the industrial sector of a business. ’
