1. A fully furnished Laboratory for M. Sc/ B S classes.

2. Fixture of Grills in the windows and doors of the existing
Laboratory.
3. Repair of shads whose plaster is falling down continuously.
4. Repair of the over head water tank from where the plaster is
falling down and leakage of water is taking place.
5. Whitewash in the entire department.

The 3 & 4 need immediate consideration, as it may result in a

serious accident if not handled within early time.

Subject: Laboratory for B. Sc & M. Sc classes and Seminar Library for

Students of M. Sc.

Sir,
In continuation to the letter Dated: 18th February, 2010 your attention is
drawn towards the fact that there is serious shortage of laboratories in the
Department of Zoology. The Department is in need of separate laboratory
for B. Sc & M. Sc classes. Presently only one laboratory is working in the
department which is not sufficient to meet the requirements of H.S.C, B. Sc
& M. Sc classes.

Sir at present the existing No’s of laboratories in various Science

Departments of the College are as under:

The students of B. Sc & M. Sc need a separate laboratory for their

practical and project work. They have to preserve specimens, raw materials,
etc for their work, which are not protected and safe in a laboratory that is
frequently visited by students of various classes mentioned above. It also
causes disturbance and breaks down of concentration during their work at
there due to which a lot of loss occurs to their studies and practical work.
More over during recent examination 2008 of M. Sc classes serious
objection was raised by the External Examiners (Professors from University
of Sindh).

Another problem for M. Sc students is the absence of Seminar Library in

the Department, which is essential requirement of them for studies and
completion of their project works. It is a place that provides com and quite
environment for studies, which unfortunately is not available to them.

Sir in 2005 looking into the problems of the Department the Principal of
that time and EDO colleges Hyderabad took step and the laboratory and the
room up stair in building of the Department of Zoology was repaired and
renovated. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain fall in that year the roof of
Botany Department was seriously damaged at that time. So the Botany
Department was shifted up stair in the building of Zoology Department for
period of one year. Now the roof of Botany Department is replaced and the
entire department has been renovated for the last two years. Now it is
recently inaugurated on 20th February 2010 by the honorable Education and
Literacy Secretary to Government of Sindh.

Sir in view of the above the Botany Department may kindly be shifted to
its new renovated building and the laboratory and rooms up stair, which is
the part and requirement of Zoology Department, should be handed over to
Zoology as soon as possible, to avoid losses occurring in the work/ studies
of B. Sc & M. Sc students of Zoology.

The Refrigerator of the Department of Zoology, in the month of

February, 2010 stopped working due damage occurred to it, as a
consequence of high voltage through in electric supply. As a result of which
the chemicals, etc that are kept in it, are not save and will be expired if it not
be repaired. More over a stabilizer is also required for safe working of the
refrigerator and avoid losses in future.
To meet all the above expenses approximately sum of Rs;10500/= is
