Observations
 Traveled over by Sisseton to do signing
o Signing is where you go around and look at a counties road signs and see where
new ones need to be placed or where old ones need to be replaced
o Used a distance tracker in pickup to measure distance from culvert to culvert
 Typed in to the computer what sign was needed for and where it was
needed
 Also typed in where the sign should be placed on the sign post
o What was typed in was needed to help mark the points
where signs were on a map
o Viewed the map where the signing was done at
o Checked off where the new signs were needed on the map to have physical
representation of what the map should look like

Reflection

Throughout this day of traveling, we did quite a bit for driving all day. We got a piece of
the map that needed to be signing done. Even though it was boring driving around all day and
not really getting out and stretching, it was not that bad. If you are a person that likes to get paid
for doing the least you possibly can, civil engineering is for you. In my case, I like to be very
active so the day seemed to drag on for me.
