Courtney began working withthe Survey and Assessment Team atthe Arizona Student Unions as 9 Survey Facilitator during her freshman yea. Her role was simple, yt critical: engage the Student Unions! Patrons (students, staff, and guests) to collect their feedback about our dining locations an services via Paper surveys. Courtney auckly excelled inthis ole because of her friendly and outgoing personality, and her efforts provided the Student Unions’ Leadership Team with candid feedback and insights about the needs and wants of our customer base. In one short yea, Courtney demonstrated the capacity to {gr0W her responsbilties and sil sets, and she transitioned into the senior student postion onthe Survey and Assessment Team a truly impressive accomplishment fara sophomore! As the senior student onthe team, Courtney was responsible for the analysis of our survey data (collected by new student Suvey Faciitators) and the historical financial data ofthe locations surveyed. In addition, Courtney created professional presentations to communicate her data and financial analysis with recommendations of next steps and ideas for change. Courtney led the tear fortwo and a half years, and a numberof specific recommendations they generated fr our dining locations were implemented bythe Student Unions Leadership Team to create positive change ‘The experiences Courtney gained through her work onthe Survey and Assessment Team i both applicable and transferrable to the classroom. Her ability to communicate and interact with a variety of people asa Survey Facilitator willhelp her communicate and engage a group of diverse students inher clas. Creating and giving presentations ina board room based on data analysis and an understanding of what the data means inorder to create recommendations fr change wll help her think critically and sign lesson plans for students inthe classroom, encouraging positive growth andthe achievernent of their learning objectives.
