Series of 2018 ‘AB oS A oath ace RESCHEDULING OF THE LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS FROM MAY 13, 14 AND 20, 2018 TO MAY 13, 20 AND 21, 2018 WHEREAS, Section 7 (d) of Republic Act No. 8981 or the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 vests upon the Professional Regulation Commission (Commission) the power to administer and conduct the licensure examinations of the various regulatory boards in accordance with the rules and regulation it may promulgate; to determine and fix the places and dates of examinations; WHEREAS, the Commission issued PRC Resolution No, 2017-1088, Series of 2017, on the schedule of the licensure examinations, practical examinations, professional upgrading examinations Special Professional Licensure Examinations (SPLE) for calendar year 2018, as well as the deadiines for the filling of applications therefor, and the target dates of the release of the examinations results; WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (Board), the schedule of the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants was set on May 13,14, and 20, 2018 in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao lloilo, Legazpi and Tacloban; WHEREAS, the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections will fall on May 14, 2018; WHEREAS, in recognition of the constitutional right to suffrage of the examinees, the Commission deems it proper to make the necessary adjustments in the schedule of the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants. NOW THEREFORE, the Commission thus RESOLVES to reschedule the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants from May 13, 14, and 20, 2018 to May 13, 20, and 21, 2018, This Resolution shall take effect upon approval.
