Background of the study

Nowadays, schools are located near busy places such as shop, malls, city and
residential areas. This occurs because of limited places to build a school or the
rapid development surrounding the schools.
Schools must be located in a quiet enviroment. Noise pollution in school
disturbs the activities in school such as study, teaching session, listening of
students and disscussions. Acts and regulations concerning noise pollution are
limited and not strictly adopted
Noise has many definition depending on whose the sound exist and it's effect to
the recipient. The definition of noise by Christopher are "Sound which is undesired
by thr recipiem" (Penn 1979) Horse it is destinied as unwanted sound , iy can be
considered as the wrong sound in the wrong place at the wrong timr (Kiely 1994).
Houde is a subjective matter and even with the sound measurement it does not
necessarily give guide to what noise is. In this study can be destined as sound
that is unwanted to human it is human as the recipient of sound has the right to
judge either the sound can be called noise or not it depends on spme factors suc as
age,sex and mood of a person sound can also can be measured using pascal.
Noise pollution at school's enviroment is due to many sources. It depends
where the school is built. A school which is located near the city centet had a
very high noise pollution because it has many sources that will lead to noise
pollution.
