Answer:- According to the article there are several areas that trip up new
managers, namely acting as a role model, Delegating, strategic thinking and
coaching. All these above parameters shape up a Rookie manager.
Now coming to the role of the senior management, they can boost up the managers
by providing above support and projecting confidence on them. This would
motivate the managers to perform for the company or the organization. The
managers should be open minded and the senior managements should share their
techniques with the rookie manager to make him/her familier to the work pressure
and the handling strategy of a team.
Moreover the lack of effective delegation also lead the rookie managers to hesitate
to assign project. They may feel uncomfortable to the other employees or the staffs
in the fear of losing his own identity, feels the pressure of being downwards if the
other staff member comes out to be more effective than the manager then he may
not get recognized in the organization.
