SHEAR FORCE AND BENDING MOMENT DIAGRAMS are somehow complicated as two books can have

different results for the same question at hand. So it comes difficult in choosing which way to catch up
and through with it. I’ll show some examples together with their data source.

STRENGTH OF MATERIAL THEORIES AND EXAMPLES (RC A TEXTBOOK OF STRENGTH OF MATERIAL 4TH EDITION (DR R.K.
STEPHENS) 1970 BANSAL)
CASE I: CANTILEVER BEAM WITH CONCETRATED LOAD (PG 22 PG 239
)

CASE 2: CANTILEVER BEAM WITH UDL (PG 22) PG 242

CASE 3: SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM WITH ECCENTRIC POINT PG 254
LOAD (PG 23)

CASE 4. This is an example 2, pg no 27….put x=8/3 This is problem no 6.14, pg no 270

But also in chapter 4, CHANDS, BENDING MOMENTS AND SHEARING FORCES

CASE 1: CANTILEVER BEAM WITH A POINT LOAD CASE 2. CANTILEVER WITH UDL

CASE 4: SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM WIT A POINT LOAD

These are only few examples friends, but there more and more contradicting questions concerning the
topic…My question is, which one among them to follow????
