INTRODUCTION

A. Issue Background

In this era of globalization, the role of technology and information is very

important for human life. Because the technology and information distance is not an

obstacle. Humans can communicate easily at great distances. It can not be separated

from the development of technology and information.

In this rapidly progressing field of technology and information, there are a

variety of technologies that enable us to easily carry various devices that can be taken

anywhere, such as laptops, mobile phones, mp3 players, etc. It is possible because of

the a battery that serves to supply the power required by the portable equipment.

In its development, the scientists made the concept that the batteries can be

used for energy sources in the manufacture of electric vehicles and hybrids

(environmentally friendly).

The author will try to explain about Lithium and its applications, namely

Lithium-Ion batteries and its development that is used in many portable equipment.
