Floor Plan with Explanation


Morriseau-Inspired Art Lesson with Oil Pastel

1. Morriseau artworks and anchor charts will be displayed around the classroom (for activities &
inspiration)
2. Students will sit on the perimeter of the carpet for instruction/art demos/sharing time
3. Tables are labeled with colours for organization
4. 5 Students may sit at each table
5. Each table will have a caddy with pencils, erasers, paper towels, thick & thin sharpies
6. Manilla paper, white paper, student folders, oil pastels can be found on horseshoe table when
needed/available for lesson
7. Sinks have spray bottles and rags for cleanup, as well as garbage directly beside
8. Learning goals, success criteria, and lesson/daily schedules are consistently on white board where
students can see them
9. There are two quiet spaces with self-regulation posters and sensory objects
10. Drying rack is on the perimeter of the classroom for safe keeping of projects and easy collection for
lessons
11. Free time can be on the couch, at the reading corner, or on the carpet
12. Ipads are accessible near teacher’s desk (must ask permission and have a clean space before use)
