*Tuesday, December 19th is group picture day for many WT teams and clubs.

*The Santa Shop will be open next week. Forms were sent home last week. The buying times are

SCHEFER HR- Monday, Dec 11th 12:15pm

*We started a new unit in Math. From now until winter break, we will cover Fraction Number Sense. This
includes equivalent fractions, simplifying, common denominators, comparing & ordering fractions, and
converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions. The NanceNinjas.com website math page has
already been updated with this information. After break, will move on to Adding & Subtracting Fractions &
Mixed Numbers, then Multiplying & Dividing Fractions & Mixed Numbers afterwards.

*In Science, the students are spending 2 weeks learning the basic of computer programming. We started with a
"cupstacks" activity where they practiced writing detailed instructions using a given code system. They are now
using the Code.org site. It is accessible from home with their class code and password.
