PRELIMINARY

A. Background
Now, many people love photography. In this case to help make photo editing easier,
created a program called adobe photoshop. Use of this program is to help us how to edit
photos and design photos to be more interesting.

B. Problem Formulation

C. Purpose
To provide information about adobe photoshop so as to facilitate us in using adobe
photoshop.

DISCUSSION

A. DEFINITION ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

Adobe photoshop or commonly called photoshop is a custom image editor software
adobe systems that are specialized to process photos or images this software is widely used
by digital graphic photos and advertising so that is considered as a market leader (market
leader) for image processing software or photos on regarded as the best product ever
produced, adobe photoshop also has a close relationship with some media editor software,
animation, and other adobe made authoring, adobe photoshop has many pasilitas to enable
designers create certain effects that can use a lot of pariasi from facilities provided by adobe
photoshop.

B. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP APPLICATION BENEFITS

1. Make writing with a certain effect.
Photoshop can change the form of writing to be more creative and innovative with the
tool effect that is inside.
2. the ability to read and write raster and vector-formatted images
Photoshop has the ability to read and write raster and vector formatted images such as
.png, .gif, .jpeg, and others. Photoshop also has some typical file formats:
a. PSD (Photoshop Document)
Formats that store images in layers, including text, mask, opacity, blend mode, color
channel, alpha channel, clipping paths, and duotone settings. The popularity of photoshop
makes this file format widely used, forcing other image program programmers to gain the
ability to read the PSD format in their software.

b. PSB
PSB 'is the latest version of PSD designed for files larger than 2 Gb.

c. PDD
PDD is another version of PSD that can only support the Photshop Deluxe software
feature. Create a variety of textures and materials. With certain steps, a Designer can create
images such as leaves, metal, water, and various other images.

3. Edit existing photos and pictures.

Adobe provides a "reduce grain" filter that helps optimize photos taken in low light
conditions, and provides an interesting effect.
4. Processing Web material.
Photoshop is also used for web purposes, for example: image file compression for
smaller sizes, cut out small images (slices), and create a web photo gallery.
C. TYPES OF ADOBE PHOTOSHOP PROCESSING PROGRAMS

Adobe Photoshop is Adobe Image's image editor software devoted to photo / image
editing and effects creation. The software is widely used by digital photographers and
advertising companies to be considered as the market leader for image processing software,
with Adobe Acrobat, considered the best product ever produced by Adobe Systems.

D. HOW TO OPERATE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

Before operating adobe photoshop make sure you have installed adobe photoshop
application on your computer, if you have installed adobe photoshop program you can run it
by:
1. Click the Start menu button

1. Type photoshop on start menu

3. Then will display adobe photoshop program
Here is an adobe photoshop display that consists of several parts:

1. Function Move Tool

Move Tool) = serves to move a single object or layer to another layer. It also
functions to shift the layer that we have selected on the photoshop work page according to the
position we want.

2. Function Rectangular Marquee Tool dan Sub-Sub Menu-ny

(Rectangular Marquee Tool) = functions to select an object in the form of a box.

(Eliptical Marquee Tool) = function to select an object in the form of a circle.
 (Single Row Marquee Tool) = to make the selection horizontally 1 pixel.
(Singgle Column Marquee Tool) = to make the selection vertically 1 pixel.

3. Function Lasso Tool Serta Sub-Sub Menu-nya

(Lasso Tool) = works to make selection freely.

(Polygonal Lasso Tool) = to make a selection of polygons.
(Magnetic Lasso Tool) = to make the selection automatically by following a similar color.

4. Function Quick Selection Tool, Magic Wand Tool

(Quick Selection Tool) = works to make a selection automatically on the same color.
(Magic Wand Tool) = to make the selection based on the same color.

5. Function Crop Tool, Perspective Crop Tool, Slice Tool, & Slice Select Tool

(Crop Tool) = serves to crop an object / image.

(Perspective Crop Tool) = function to perfect the image of Perspective.
(Slice Tool) = serves to create a snippet of objects or images.
(Slice Select Tool) = to select a snippet on the object / image.
6. Function Eyedroper Tool Beserta Sub-Sub Menu-Nya

(Eyedropper Tool) = Used to take color samples in the image section. To use this tool, click
on a certain area of the image, the selected color will be amabil for example. Each time you
take a color sample on a particular drawing area on a canvas, inside Penel Color will display
the combination of colors that make up the color sample.

(Color Sampler Tool) = Use tool almost the same as Eyedropper Tool. The difference Color
Sampler Tool can record some color information to display in the info panel. After that the
recorded data you can pour into the Color panel to make the foreground and background
colors manually.

(Ruler) = serves to measure objects on the canvas and can also be used as a guide to rotate
objects at certain angles.
(Note Tool) = to create a notepad of an image.

7. Function Toolbox Spot Healing Brush Tool Dan Sub Menu-Nya

(Spot Healing Brush Tool) = works to fix a damaged object or image.

(Healing Brush Tool) = to create an image object with a specified sample.
(Patch Tool) = serves to create an object or image with a sample patern.
(Content-Aware Move Tool) = serves to move an object without the need to do masking, and
make a detailed slice on the object of an image.
(Red Eye Tool) = to menghilnagkan red color on the eyes because of the reflected light to be
black.
 8. Function Brush tool serta sub-subnya

(Brush Tool) = serves to draw / paint images using a brush.

(Pencil Tool) = to draw / paint images using a pencil.
(Color Replacement Tool) = to color an image using a certain color. (Mixer Brush Tool) = to
create 3D dimensional vector images, to soften skin surface.

9. Function clone stamp dan pattern stamp tool

(Clone Stamp Tool) = serves to create an image using sample images that have been
available.
(Pattern Stamp Tool) = to create an image using a specific pattern.

10. Function History Brush Tool, Art History Brush Tool

(History Brush Tool) = serves to remove objects / images to be transparent following the
color berground / layer behind it.
(Art History Tool) = to create state history images from an artistic model drawing.

11. Function Eraser Tool sert Sub-Sub Menu-nya

(Eraser Tool) = serves to delete an object or image.

(Background Eraser Tool) = to delete an object or image ynag ahirnya become transparent.
(Magic Eraser Tool) = to erase an image automatically following the same color that
ultimately becomes transparent.

12. Function Fungsi Gradient Dan Paint Bucket Tool

(Blur Tool) = serves to member effect on the color of the image.

(Sharpen Tool) = to give a sharper color contras.
(Smudge Tool) = to rub the image to make it smoother than the result of irregular selection.
13. Function Blur Tool Serta Sub-Sub Menu-nya

(Blur Tool) = serves to member effect on the color of the image.

(Sharpen Tool) = to give a sharper color contras.
(Smudge Tool) = to rub the image to make it smoother than the result of irregular selection.

14. Function Dodge Tool Serta Sub-Sub Menu-nya

(Dodge Tool) = serves to make an image clearer / brighter.

(Burn Tool) = to create an image with darker effect.
(Tool) = to change a saturation in a certain area of the image.

15. Function pen tool serta sub-sub Menu-nya

(Pen Tool) = serves to create a selection on the image.

(Freeform Pen Tool) = to create a path with free form.
(Add Anchor Point tool) = to add an anchor point point to the path.
(Delete Anchor Point Tool) = to delete an anchor point point you have added to the path.
(Convert Point Tool) = to edit anchor point point on the path.

16. Function Fungsi Horizontal Type Tool Serta Sub-Sub Menu-Nya

(Horizontal Type Tool) = function to create a text horizontally.

(Vertical Type Tool) = to create text / text vertically.
(Horizontal Type Mask Tool) = to make text selection / text with shape horizontally.
(Vertical Type Mask Tool) = to create text / text selection with the shape vertically.
17. Function Path Selection Tool & Direct Selection Tool

(Path Selection Tool) = function to create a path (can be converted into a selection).
(Direct Selection Tool) = to change the anchor point of the path.

18. Function Rectangle Tool Serta Sub-Sub Menu-Nya

(Rectangle Tool) = serves to create a rectangular object 4.

(Rounded Rectangle Tool) = to create a curved rectangular shape object.
(Ellipse Tool) = to create an object with a circular shape.
(Polygon Tool) = to create an object with terms of 3.4, 5 and so on.
(Line Tool) = to create a straight line.
(Custom Shape Tool) = to create an object with a form that has been on the option bar.

19. Function Hand Tool & Rotate View Tool

(Hand Tool) = serves to move / move the image like by hand.

(Rotate View Tool) = functions to rotate images up to 1900 or as desired.

20. Function Zoom Tool Photoshop

(Zoom tool) = function to enlarge the image / image.

21. Function Switch Foreground and Background Colors

(Switch Foreground and Background Colors) = to change the foreground and background
forward or backward.
22. Function Default Foreground and Background Colors

(Function Default Foreground and Background Colors) = to change the foreground to default.

23. Function Set Foreground, Set Background

(Set Foreground Color) = functions to specify the color of the selection you have made (in
the foreground color).
(Set Background Color) = functions to specify the color of the selection you have created (in
begroung color).

24. Function Edit In Quick Mask Mode

(Quick Mask) = has a function to make editing view to Quick mask / RGB. The quick mask
mode allows us to use all the tools in Photoshop to edit / edit the selection frame.

25. Function Standard Screen Mode Dan Sub-Sub Menu-nya

(Standard Screen Mode) = to display windows with standard mode.

(Maximized Screen Mode) = to display the window with maximum mode.
(Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar) = to display the screen with full screen mode and menu
bar.
(Full Screen Mode) = to display the screen with full screen mode without menu bar.
D. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP APPLICATION PRACTICES
One of the uses is that designers can edit photos like how to remove eye bags.
1. Run adobe photoshop, then click the file menu, click open, then click select to edit
2. After the image appears to be edited
3. Click the brush tool menu

4. Klik edit in quick mask mode

5. Direct the brush tool on the right and left eye area

6. When finished, click the tool edit in standard mode (or Q) automatically outside the circle of
selected areas
7. Select magic wand tool, then right click on the selected part, select select inverse, then the eye
will
be selected
 8. To set the color of eye bags to be the same as facial skin, click the layer menu then adjustments
and curves
9. Set the input and output numbers of the RGB channel until you find the color of the pouch that
matches the facial skin
10. The final result will be seen in the picture on the side

11. Save.

ANALYSIS

Analysis of this paper is photoshop is the best photo editing app that can be used by anyone.
photoshop is also useful for designing a photo view to be more interesting with additional
photo effects, giving copyright to our photos so that others can not take our photos to their
right, add text to our photos, and can change the initial extension from jpg to png. photoshop
is a perfect and complete application for simple and professional photo editing process.
suitable for a photographer to edit photos for the better.
 CONCLUSION

Photoshop is one of the professional standard image processing program. Adobe

photoshop is an adobe-made image editor software devoted to image / photo editing and
effects creation. by applying the workspace functionality that existed in adobe photoshop we
can easily edit photos or images well.
