My name is Jordan Lackner and I am currently a senior nursing student at the University
of Saint Mary, expecting to graduate in May. I am extremely interested in the nurse residency
program at Truman Medical Center. I recently completed my capstone in the surgical intensive
care unit and am now entirely enamored with the facility. Your residency program was suggested
to me by the registered nurses I worked with in the SICU, specifically, my preceptor Alexis
Ford, and after some investigation into the program, I have set my sights on the residency
program at TMC.

Truman Medical Center strives to make a difference and provide the best care possible to
every client, and I found that attitude present in every single employee I encountered during my
capstone, and also in myself. My personal mission is to do the best I can to make a difference
with every for which I provide care--and even those not directly assigned to me, if possible.
TMC delivers quality care to not only the insured clients, but also the underserved populations in
the Kansas City area, and that is one of the most important assets of the facility. The true core of
nursing is to serve those that need care the most, and that is my goal for my own career. This
altruistic characteristic of mine is why I belong where I can make the biggest difference: Truman
Medical Center.

I believe my coursework and capstone experience in the SICU have prepared me to make
a wonderful addition to the Truman team. Since my personal goals closely align with the mission
of the company, I am a perfect fit for the residency program at Truman Medical Center. I look
