To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Meghan Holly and I am a 9" Grade teacher at Friendship Academy of E
& Technology right here in Baltimore City, MD. I am interested in planning a tour for my 9"
Graders to come and visit your illustrious museum. This would be an amazing opportunity for
my students and I to come and learn the history of Maryland's African American Herit
Ibelieve this would be an especially great opportunity for my specific students because my
school has been slated to close at the end of this academic year. The decision made by City
Schools’ leadership to close, due to a recent drop in our enrollment, has brought about
disappointment and a feeling of neglect amongst my students. This trip would reassure to my
students that I, as well as community partners like you, are still dedicated and committed to
ig opportunities for them to explore, access, and gain knowledge that they otherwise may

not obtain.
Iam sending this letter in hopes that you provide my students from Friendship Academy of
Engineering & Technology (FAET #339) with financial assistance through the museums
Children’s Access Program (CAP) and sponsor a tour for us to visit. We are a Title I school as
Priority School and our budget has been cut substantially due to our projected closure at
ear. In order to learn more about my school's student population, click the link
