work, developed new Excel models to predict future wait-times and ridership for WSF routes.

equity, space equity, capital and operating needs, and frequent-user policies. Analytical work supported
the Tariff Policy Committee in achieving approved fare proposals in both years.

associations, BCF, BACS, BCDTA and BCMA and PICME and development and implementation of e-technology within
15 companies ranging in size from global to local.

• Lead Consultant, Developing business-plans for setting up Healthcare Technologies Regional Resource Centres, SEEDA.
The project involved setting and interviewing 75 key stakeholders in the South of England including leading Pharma
companies, Trade associations and Government within a 3 month period. The interviews resulted in over
commitment of over £2million of funding from public and private sources.

• Project Manager, Business Engagement Strategy & Implementation for Digital & ICT Department with focus on super-
grid computing, Liverpool Hope University. I set up interviews with over 100 companies and stakeholders which
resulted in 40 new business relationships for the department within an 8-week period.

• Project Manager, Commercialisation Strategy for a CD-Rom product developed by an education consortium, as part of
research into understanding learning methods associated with lean manufacturing and six sigma. I also worked on

• Lead Consultant, A review of the UK metals sector, with special emphasis on evolving requirements of services to UK
industry from the metals sector science research base. The project involved a combination of desk research, key
opinion leader interviews (academic, commercial and Governmental), the hosting of two Delphi Group meetings, the
carrying out of a postal survey of 4500 companies across the whole sector with a further interviewing of 100
respondents to elicit views. The outcomes were recommendations for future research funding initiatives for a
Research Council client, as well as initiatives to be carried out by the National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) to
enhance the future competitiveness of the UK metals sector.

• Lead Consultant, Department of Trade and Industry - Impact evaluations of e-commerce in four industries including
security, fire protection, industrial pumps and the building contracting industries. A multi-faceted approach based on
an OECD Model involving desk research, discussions with leading industrial independents and Trade Associations,
face-to-face interviews with companies in each sector, postal survey and telephone interviews. Issues addressed in
the studies included an analysis of e-technology activity, supported by case studies; opportunities to and threats from
use of e-technologies, barriers and drivers and the role of government and trade associations. The DTI and trade
bodies have taken on board the strategic recommendations from the reports.

• Managed a 10-person, Los Angeles and Beijing-based team through a new product launch.
Built a $200,000 online physician comparison tool for 2,000 medical clinics in 3 months.
• Developed, sold, and implemented state-of-the-art clinical cost measurement methods resulting
in $500,000 additional revenue, 4 abstracts and 1 manuscript and a new business line.
